Pontoon Boat Furniture and Parts

A pontoon boat, also referred to as a deck boat or party barge, is unique in that it sits on top of 2-3 pontoon tubes which allow it to float smoothly on the water. These special boats are constructed for social gatherings, fishing, partying or just enjoying travels on the water. Normally they can hold a decent sized group of anywhere from 10 to 16 people on board, also taking total weight into consideration.

Adding to the comfort of the passengers on your pontoon boat is the luxury and style of its furniture pieces. You may have recently purchased a used pontoon boat and want to replace some of these pieces that are worn or looking aged. The pontoon tables are made in all sorts of styles, shapes, and sizes including rectangular, round and kidney-shaped. They usually are swivel-style allowing easy moving of the table and in terms of cost they range from $60-$200 depending on what type of table you decide upon. You may also need to purchase new mounting hardware, legs and pedestals depending on which table you opt for and whether or not it complies with your current boat's hardware.

Another consideration is buying covers for your various furniture pieces on board your pontoon.  Pontoon furniture covers will make for less need to dry off couches and seats after rainy weather, and may help protect the furniture from wear and aging.  Generally, furniture covers cost under $50, depending on which item you want to cover, but the investment is well worth making to protect your valuable furniture.

When you buy a new or used pontoon boat, you may find it necessary to get replacement parts.  For example, the used pontoon boat we purchased is missing a door latch and is currently held together with strong bungee cords.  In order to find and purchase replacement parts it's generally advised that you contact one of the pontoon boat manufacturers, per the type of pontoon you own.  Try emailing or calling by using their website information to see if they can supply you with the appropriate part you need, or if maybe they can direct you to a nearby marina or boat dealership that specializes in parts for your pontoon.
