75About the Poptropica Haunted House
The Poptropica Haunted House is a special mini-quest in the popular game launched in October, 2009 for a limited time. It takes place in a spooky graveyard and haunted mansion with many scary and fun surprises.
The object of the mini-quest is to obtain six special items in and around the haunted house. To get most of them, you'll need to solve different puzzles and overcome obstacles along the way. If you find all six items, you'll get to go to a Halloween Party and get a reward of 50 Poptropica credits. You will also be able to obtain several fun Halloween costumes.

Leaks and Special Events
In the week or two before the Poptropica Haunted House was released, there was a lot of build-up and promotion for the event, including the leaking of several Halloween costumes in the game.
Every once in a while, if you are standing in a multiplayer room, such as one of the many places in the Main Street areas of the games, a costume dummy will appear. It will be wearing a rare Halloween costume.
You can obtain the costume by using the Costumizer feature in Poptropica. Of course, you don't have to wait for the costume dummies to appear because many players are now wearing those new costumes and you can simply use the Costumize feature on them!

Where does someone get the game? There's a lot of hype, but like everything on Hub Pages, I can't find a damn thing. I write a lot on Hub, but, the community-aspect is very weak.
But, a young man of 11 told me about Poptropica when he wrote a comment on one of my Hubs, and its such a cool name I wanted to learn more...
I teach kids and I'm always looking for things which will interest them....
The sad thing about Hub Pages is there is no-easy-way to reconnect to anything, or, if there is, no one has ever mentioned it.
And, I am very interested in learning more about Poptropica.

You have to go the store, and purchase the Haunted House:however, the cost is free. After you buy the card, go to items from store and choose the Haunted House card, then click "Go to" or whatever it says. Then you are transported to the Haunted House, and the only way you can get back to after leaving is by going back to the items from store selection in your items drop-down menu, and choosing "Go to" again.

Poptropica Costumes in Store
There are also three new costumes appearing in the Poptropica Store. They are:

- Bride of Frankenstein
- Pumpkin Head
