My girlfriend Jessica and I purchased a condo in May of '07. We contemplated buying a home outside of Portsmouth, but chose a newly renovated condo instead. Our decision to buy a condo was a great one. Life in downtown Portsmouth has been exceptional. We both enjoy dining out and the city offers several restaurants to choose from.
As a young couple we still enjoy a night on the town occasionally and Portsmouth has several bars and pubs to choose from. Some places offer live music and others comedy shows, whatever you are in the mood for Portsmouth has it.One of the things we enjoy most about our condo is the location. Portsmouth is close to Boston as well as Lake Winnipesaukee where we spend a lot of our time in the summer. My Husband Tom and I have considered buying a larger home but are now looking into luxury condos with the intent on living in Portsmouth. As this site points out, Portsmouth is in a great location with various events going on in the community to keep us busy. With the mortgage crisis looming in most of the country, Portsmouth does seem to be an ideal place to invest in a home.
