Positive thinking does not work.
60I have just done a search on google for positive thinking and found out that it has 9,910,000 results. All that out there so why are so many people indulging in negative thinking and so unhappy? Why do we have the highest rates at the moment for depression, stress, anxiety and worry? With all this information and thousands of products out there. Something is missing.
After visiting many sites I discovered that we are all telling people and clients the same things. Positive thinking will let you achieve anything and allow you to overcome everything and it is easy.Well it can and will if. I can break a brick with my hand, fly a microlight and strip a CZ 75 juggle, stand on my head in a full lotus however, I can only do these things with ease because I have practiced for years. Learnt how to do it and practiced, trained and studied. Lots of times got it wrong and re-calibrated and changed my approach. Often it involved also changing my self image, habits, beliefs and parts of my life style.That is a lot of work, time, money and life invested.
If you look at my web sits you will see that I also tell people it is easy and often it is. Many things can be removed from your life fast and with little effort from you, however this is not always the case. Sometimes you will have to make massive changes in your life in order to have a new life.
Positive thinking will not work consistently for most people unless they also do a load more stuff. That may surprise you but it’s true. Think about all the things that you have to do each day just to maintain your life. You have to do them over and over again.Driving to work.
Find the car, open it, sit in, close the door, seat belt. start car etc etc. None of these things are permeant. Then hen you get on the road you have to monitor your speed, check your mirrors, read road signs, watch out for other drivers. There are hundreds of things that you have to do in order to be a safe driver and get to where you want to go. Along with all the other problems you have, insurance, mot, tax servicing. OK you get the idea.
Only one of the skills.
You see now that positive thinking is only one of the things that will have to become a habit to live a wonderful life. Creating you the way you want to be and living the life you want is not easy. So PT will not work for most people because all the other steps disciplines and skills needed have been left out and if they find an honest therapist they may decide that it is to much work.
This is why it does not work, well it does if you realise that it is only one of the habits and skills that you will need. Maybe it is time to learn them or you could just stay as you are for the rest of your life. But that will be very expensive.- EFT in Leamington Spa

Great hub, and I partly agree with waht you say. Perhaps people should start to asscociate positive thinking with positive action, and maybe they will start to realise you need both for the results they desire. Every positive thought needs to be materialsed into a result with a positive action. I guess most people miss that part of the equation.
You can train your subconscious mind to behave in the way your desire. all it takes is knowledge skill and practice.

I do believe the power of mind and thoughts has a great power to your mind, body and soul...mastering this art is something that i would assume yoga and other meditation techniques help..I'm still learning!

I believe positive thinking is not something that you can want to do. According to my self research, it is something that you will or will not do, subconsciously, and it all depends on how healthy you are and the stuff you eat and how healthy your daily routine is. Fengshui also plays a vital role.
