Pot luck recipes
65We have all been invited to pot lucks and wondered "what in the world am I going to take?" We have a few old stand-bys that seem to go over very well.
One thing that I really enjoy making for potlucks is enchilladas. Everyone has a favorite way to make these, and they serve well, especially if you can partially bake them at home, then cool. Then bake where they will be served. But this is not always possible, so here are some ideas of things either in crock pots or that don't need to be heated.
- Salami roll ups. Take italian dry salami that is sliced. Mix cream cheese and chopped black olives together. Place a teaspoon of the cheese and olive mixture on each slice of salami and fold over. Make a plateful of these and watch them disappear!
- Lil smokies & barbecue sauce. Place a package or two of lil smokies and a bottle of barbecue sauce in a crock pot. Heat through and serve
- Chili
- Potato Salad
- Deviled eggs
- Macaroni Salad
- Baked beans
- Any type of pie or cake
- Cupcakes
- Fruit salad
Most dishes can be modified for a pot luck. Don't be afraid to experiment and ask trusted friends for their opinions. Enjoy!
