If you're an animnal lover like me, you've had your share of pet accidents. You've probably tried all kinds of methods to potty train, and some of those may or may not have worked. Up until I discovered this simple training, I had those same hit and miss results. To tell you the truth, I even swore I'd never get another inside dog again because I got so tired of cleaning up their little "accidents."

In a hurry? Here's the BEST guide for Potty Training Dogs and Puppies.

Throughout my experience with various pets, I've heard and read it all. Someone always has the best way that works, right? My sister says crate them and only let them out to use the bathroom and eat - supposed to work. My mom always said, "use a newspaper. The noise scares them." The one that always made me laugh the most was "squirt them with water!" Have you ever squirted a dog with water? They love it! Why would they stop peeing on the carpet if they get rewarded with a fun squirt of water? Seriously.

When my precious Roxy died three years ago, I swore I'd never get another dog. Not just because there's no other dog that can replace Roxy, but I was just not ready to take on the responsibility of cleaning up all the accidents. I just knew that there was no such thing as a well trained dog - accidents always happened. You just have to hope to get a good dog that simply doesn't make a mess.

Then my niece Ashley had a great idea for my birthday. It was such a surprise. When my sister came to visit, Ashley could hardly contain herself. She hurried me out to the car, made me close my eyes, opened the car door, and there, with a pretty blue bow on his collar was my new puppy Rascal! He was the cutest puppy I'd ever seen! I was so happy - until 5 minutes after having him inside he made a puddle on the carpet. I couldn't help but think of all the new messes I'd be cleaning later today, tomorrow, the next day.... well. You get the idea.

Luckily, my secretary introduced me to what turned out to be the hands down best method I've found to potty train my new puppy.
