Learning, a lifelong experience

Never too late to learn

I had the opportunity to attend an MMI [Millionaire Mind Intensive] program. WOW!  Some of what I experienced was expected, some parts were quite different from the pre-conceived ideas we can tend to create. So when someone tells you to go with an open mind take their advice.

I won’t get into too much detail because everyone responds or reacts differently to the exercises put forth. What stimulates a specific emotional reaction in me may vary vastly from the reaction of the person in front of or beside me. It is very experiential, hands-on participation shared with people around you. You take from it what you take to it. If you go with a negative attitude you may not be able to accept the full benefit of the processes you are taken through. I say ‘may not’ because I observed people change from being negative to being open minded before my eyes. On the other hand there were those who left with the same negativity they arrived with and learned nothing nor took anything away from the three days. If you go with a positive attitude you will definitely leave with more than you came with.

If we are to learn we have to accept what is put in front of us. We don’t necessarily have to agree with all of it, but to attain any benefit we have to be willing to accept the information in order to process it and place it in the proper perspective to determine how it can be applied to each of us individually.

Many of us are prone to looking at situations from a perspective we are comfortable with, we are accustomed to. We can wear blinders, so to speak, for our entire lives and be content, safe. Or we can remove the blinders and see and experience life, whether personal or professional, from its intended perspective which [in my opinion] is to see, touch, experience, embrace every opportunity we encounter. It doesn’t always have to be life shaking or gut wrenching. The spectrum is only limited by our knowledge, but ignited by our imagination.

Any opportunity to attend a program that you will derive immediate benefit from should be taken advantage of. Whether an MMI program or a class to learn how to crochet at your local continuing ed facility matters not. What matters is your desire to continue to learn and experience all we have so graciously been given.

The universe holds a vast expanse of knowledge, we only have to learn to embrace and absorb it without fear. I believe and have experienced that what you voice to the universe will come back to you when least expected.

Any opportunity to attend a meeting/program where you can learn and expand your horizons is to be looked at with gratitude and anticipation. Well done Carmen

As the old adage, "Empty your cup".

You have the point here, what matter most is opening the mind first.

Yes, we all have to continue to learn in order to grow. Doesn't really matter what, just something new every day. You're welcome!
