Power of a Card

Hello! Let me start by saying I'm a virgin blogger, so bare with me. I'm also a very private person, so the idea of posting things about my personal life for others to read is definitely out of my comfort zone. With that said, Scott REALLY wants me to write a blog and I guess since he cooked breakfast and dinner today and gave me a sweet card it's the least I can do.

First, to clear something up from his first blog... D-Jay IS all there. He is a sweetie and the perfect companion for those days you just need to know someone (or thing) cares and loves you. I could go on, but I'll spare you all!

The main thing I want to write about goes back to my first paragraph when I wrote that Scott gave me a sweet card. He is so good about thinking of the little things and I always appreciate it when he does. I started thinking about how special an actual card is and how simple of an act it is. Yet, how many of us have gotten away from sending and giving cards to show we care or thinking about someone? I blame most of it on technology. It's easier and cheaper to send someone an email or text, but don't you get a better feeling when you receive a card in the mail?! I know I do and yet I rarely think to do that. However, I'm going to challenge myself to do better in that area and tomorrow I'm going to buy cards to send to my grandparents, whom I don't get to see very often and definitely don't do a good enough job of keeping in touch with. I'd like to know if you agree with me that an actual card is more special than other types of contact or if you prefer a different style. Let me know by participating in the poll below!

Well, I hope Scott is happy now that I have written a blog and I apologize if it was torture for any of you!

Toodles,

Amber

definitely a card. Yes, it's sad that letter mail and greeting cards sent this way seems to be a lost art. Maybe the pendulum will swing and we'll get back to it?
