World of Warcraft Powerleveling

Tips on Powerleveling in World of Warcraft

If you are planning on powerleveling a character in World of Warcraft, how do you begin? Don’t worry about which character class you should pick, they can all solo 1-80 fine as long as talent points are appointed well and you take necessary precautions (bring healing potions along, soulstones, bandages, etc.). If you are looking for a character class which will make it very easy to solo everything, choose a Hunter. That will make soloing much easier for you.

Powerleveling Lower Levels

Powerleveling levels 1-10 are extremely simple, you should be able to go through them in a couple hours at most. The best thing to keep in mind at the beginning is to collect every quest you are eligible for and complete them all at the same time. It may be easier in some cases to grind (kill creatures for xp) to the next level in order to make your current quests easier. When grinding, try to kill only creature which are green to you. This is because you should be able to kill many of them very quickly and still get xp for them. If you are fully rested (your xp bar will be blue), you will get double xp.

Powerleveling Quests

Get an add-on, like Questhelper which will let you know how difficult a quest is by giving you a level and a color- green is easy, yellow is medium, and red is difficult. If soloing everything, go for green quests. If you do not have any which are green, consider grinding as I mentioned above.

Any time you sign on to WOW and have become fully rested (by staying in a town and signing off for a while), go immediately out and grind until your xp bar stops being blue. When rested you will only get double xp for killing creatures-not for doing quests.

Talent Trees

One of the best things that you can do for yourself while leveling is to build a good talent tree. For powerleveling, you would probably want to go for whatever maximizes your DPS (damage per second). You can find discussions on talent trees in any WOW Forum.
