Article Writing Myths and Debunking Them

Before you take the plunge into article writing and marketing, bear in mind the many myths that continue to grow and circulate around it. Here are common article marketing myths that can cause you to lose sales if you base your marketing decisions on them:

MYTH #1: Article marketing is all just hype and useless - Fact is writing and submitting articles are crucial parts of any website promotion strategy. The one-way backlinks in the article resource box provide targeted traffic and increase your link popularity and therefore increase your search engine ranking, Google page rank and Alexa rating.

MYTH #2: Articles that are submitted and published only get indexed as supplemental pages so that wouldn't be helping that much - One important aspect of search engine optimization involves using high quality, interesting, informative content articles. Search engines love content articles and many people will read and link to articles that are interesting and informative for topics they are interested in. This can provide your articles with the highest possible listing in major search engines and not just as supplemental pages.

MYTH #3: Search engines will penalize you for submitting the same article to different article sites - Duplicate content refers to the significantly noticeable duplicated content within the SAME domain or across multiple domains. It has nothing to do with the submitting the same article. If Google for example penalize article sites for publishing the duplicates, that would mean there would be no article sites left and that doesn’t even make sense.
