Prada L'eau Ambree
66Prada L’eau Ambree is the newest scent from Prada. Designed by perfumer Daniela Andrier, this fragrance is supposed to be the eau (water) version of the Prada Amber line. The notes: modernized amber, lemon, May rose essences, patchouli, oppoponax and vanilla. At first whiff, it alludes to Infusion d’Iris. The same clean and subtle aroma evokes a luminous ambiance at the beginning then transitions into something lemony. The rose intervenes at the middle reminiscent of a garden in full bloom, teeming with May roses. The dry down is subdued and I could hardly sense the warmth of vanilla. The oppoponax component appears to be more pronounced than the patchouli.
This fragrance takes on a discreet rendition of the original Prada Amber. It has its own winsome characteristic that sets it apart from the first Prada. I wouldn’t call this a flanker either because the qualities are well-developed and refined. While it’s true that some notes bring back memories of the earlier fragrances in the series, L’eau Ambree is a fragrance you simply cannot ignore.
Supposedly created for women, the notes don’t come off as overtly feminine. It’s neither shared nor does it closely resemble a man scent. Not at all. It melds with your chemistry and it creates a wonderful trail of quiet elegance.
