Carrie Prejean, the first runner-up Miss California USA, was engaged in a controversy at Miss USA 2009 beauty peagent where her answer to one of the judge's question, sparked controversy and media is all over it.

When one of the celebrity judges, famous blogger Perez Hilton asked her whether she supported the idea of same-sex marriage referring to the fact that Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same-sex marriage.

Carrie has been quoted to have answered to that as follows:

Carrie Prejean: “Well I think its great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”

Carrier was booed by the audience after that and Perez even went on to call her dumb b*tch
