Ready set go and the Blastoff team went to work. If you have never heard of the Blastoff Network before that is OK, because both Prepaid Legal and Pizza hut have provided the world with links to join this new social network. Prepaid legal had about a month head start on marketing this social network. Like most social network they offer a website that allows you to keep in touch with your friends, relatives and co-workers. The goal is to build a network of people who wants to save cash from shopping online through Blastoff network.

Unlike Facebook and Myspace, Blastoff network is concentrating on the idea of online shopping , while providing entertainment and fun games for its members. However, what Blastoff is attempting to do is to put into the hands of its members, who join for free, a system to find discounted shopping online with cash back the main incentive.

To bring it all together Blastoff network developed a system that compensate members for referring others to the site. The main attraction is the 400 different retailers offering millions of products with cash back. Who will be these retailers? Retailers such as Walmart,Target,Sears and priceline.com just to name a few. The concept of online shopping is catching on quickly with shoppers, so Blastoff network website should work.

As for the actual website itself it is pretty user friendly with lots of options to choose from. What Blastoff was going for is a home page with all the various business applications, games, online TV, social media, news,sports, personal contacts and shopping as the bonus. Sharing your bargain finds with your friends is natural. Therefore, it is a win,win for everybody involved. If you already belongs to Myspace or Facebook you can include them in your site.

Therefore, that brings me to the question who wins when Prepaid legal and Pizza Hut is made to compete for signing up our contacts? Obviously the consumer wins if what was promised actually is delivered : earned income and cash back shopping. Prepaid legal and Pizza Hut wins too, because they get the needed extra exposure to thousand of online communities that will be exposed to their services and food as in the case of Pizza Hut.

However, the real winner here is Blastoff Network getting all of this publicity and little bit of the pie from everybody. Blastoff network came to market with a key  concept called viral marketing. Therefore, Blastoff get to move the social network and social media one step forward using viral marketing.
