Key Steps to Prequalifying Prospects for Your Network Marketing Business
59Explode Your MLM by Prequalifying Prospects
To build your network marketing business online you need to set up a marketing funnel for prequalifying prospects. It’s the best thing you can do for your business. A prequalified prospect will be more receptive of you and what you have to say and will be far more likely to sign up in your network marketing business.
People need to get to know you before you ever talk to them and you need to know if the prospect is someone you want to work with. Are they willing to invest in themselves? Are they willing to learn new things? Are they going to do the work necessary to build their business? Are they going to need to be continuously encouraged and pushed to move forward or are they self motivated?
One of the worst things about old-school methods of network marketing, besides the fact that it’s unprofessional and doesn’t work very well for most people, is the fact that most people you talk to will be people that don’t know you from a hole in the ground. The biggest problem with that is you never know if the person you talk to is going to be worth your time pursuing. Even if they sign up over 95% of them will never amount to anything and will drop out within the first 3 months.
Prequalifying prospects through your marketing funnel starts with you. You need to set yourself up as an expert who provides value to your prospects and someone people can go to for help if they need it. You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to know where to start and people have to be able to find you online. You need to set up an online presence to start generating your own free prospects.
Generating free leads online is a rather simple process; it’s not easy, it requires commitment and consistent action, but it is simple. There are a number of ways you can accomplish this. You can use traffic exchanges, free online classified ads, or web 2.0 social media like article marketing, content sharing, and video marketing. Some methods work better than others, but you need to find what works best for you.If you don't know where to start How I Built My First List by Mike Klingler is an exccelent place to start.
Use Attraction Based Marketing to Pre-Sell and Start Prequalifying Prospects
I like using attraction based marketing with web 2.0 social marketing sites because it pre-sells your prospects, before you ever talk to them! They already know who you are so any email or other contact you have with them is more readily accepted as opposed to buying your leads and cold calling them.
As you start getting leads into your funnel you start prequalifying prospects by moving them through a series of steps that starts training them on how to build a network marketing business online. Each step requires the prospects to invest in themselves to see if they are serious enough to move forward and actually build something or if they are just trying to get a free ride. A prospect that is willing to invest a little time and money into their education is someone that you would want in your downline. These kind of people are motivated to move forward because they have put something into their business and are set up to get something out of it. These prospects will look forward to your emails and your suggestions because of the value you have given them. I have set up a site just for you learn how to generate your own free prequalified prospects that pay you to be prospected even if they never sign up in your network marketing business. It is set up to promote you while prequalifying prospects for you. Nice points John. It has well been established that 80% of sales will be produced by 20% of the sales force.
It is wise then to sort out who the 20%'ers are.
John I agree with every thing you say. One thing I found is that it is important to track our daily activitive in getting people into our funnel. How we got the prospect, and from which blog or website. We are not trying to qualify people, but see if the qualify for any of our opportunities.
Valuable information... thanks for your input...
John: That's whats nice about attraction marketing - people that are truly interested in what you have to offer come to you! No more "3 foot rule"! Appreciate the info.
David

Right on John. Simple for sure and it's a blast! A great question to ask people is what books they have read. I learned that from Mike Dillard. With all the abundance on the internet people need to qualify themselves as well.
