It not only helps ease everyone's anxiety, but can help with potty-training efforts, uncovering developmental disabilities, understanding social and emotional concerns, and discovering skills and talents. For a child with developmental delays or learning disabilities, parent-teacher communication is even more essential, since it is important to coordinate therapy efforts, skill development and behavior shaping.

Some preschool teachers send home a daily progress report, but others do not. When my son started preschool, I created my own.
