President Obama Briefly Endangered After Air Space Invasion

Today, April 24, 2009 ABC News reported that a small plane flew in air space around the White House. President Barack Obama was relocated to an undisclosed location until the situation was taken care of. The president and the first family were relocated under extreme and an abundant of caution because of the presence of the plane in the White House air space.
The plane was a small engine plane and forced the Senate to recess. The air space incident happened during mid day on Friday, April 24, 2009. ABC news made the report to the public of the president's temporary lock down about 2:23 pm EST. The midday scare was brief and the small engine plane was being called a "stray" plane flying in the restricted air space.
The captol was not evacuated although the Senate recessed because of the small engine plane's route into the federal restricted air space. The plane was intercepted by Fighter Jets. The threat level around the White House was briefly raised but was lowered when the pilot was contacted. The pilot of the plane once notified that it was flying in restricted air space turned around and landed in Maryland.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported the incident to the Associated Press. The Secret Service was responsible for placing the White House in the lock down status. The small engine plane was detected by radar and looked as though it was headed toward the White House. The White House is now on normal operation status as the small engine plane landed at an airport in Maryland.
