Transparency in government is one of the main differences between Obama and  former President Bush's way of governing.  Obama seeks to end wasteful government spending by getting rid of governmen program tnat do not work.

When you look at the margin of the presidential campaign win, you can not only look at numbers. You must also look at the   analytic and the environment as a whole of the political arena in which the presidency was run. The last statement could fill volumes of book so I will sum it up this way. You need to read President Obama's The Audacity of Hope to discover that his running and winning the presidency is not all about numbers. President Obama's win was not all about former President Bush's unpopularity either.

President Obama has been in pubic office for about five complete months now and I would say that he is doing an excellent job cleaning up the "economic mess." Former President Bush set around with his millionaire cabinet members and let the the economic system bubble and burst. A president in office for five months can not do damage to an economic system that has been in turmoil for eight years which is the equivalent of 96 months.

The American people, the majority of whom approve of President Obama's action on the Chrysler and GM bankruptcies, have never seen a president work so hard. The American people know that Chrysler and GM financial problems must have been brewing during the Bush administration and was just another problem that the new administration was forced to take on. When companies are in trouble financially, the government do not come to them. These companies asked for financial help from the governmentt. Large companies including AIG had difficulty paying their creditors. The government can not control the actions of these large companies after they receive government bailouts. However because of the dissappointment of AIG awarding $165 million of bonus to chief executive officers, President Obama is putting together a department to make sure that a private run company do not get so huge as to topple the American economy again.

GM and Chrylser also had problems paying off creditors when as one of the reasons for economic difficulty, the gas crises upward to $4.20 a gallon caused less people to buy cars and caused a reduction in car sales across the country. President Obama's job is not to be an overseer of major automobile companies. These companies came to the government for help. As in business there are risks that has to be taken or an organization would not be called a business. Now GM is anticipating getting out of its bankruptcy status and the bail out is not considered a loss because it kept Americans employed.

Some American's lost their jobs but that was a cause of the recession that surfaced in the American economy in December of 2007, long before Obama became president. For informational purposes, an ABC poll showed that most Americans do not blame President Obama for the present economic crisis.

President Obama passed the stimulus bill that was already in congress along with a bill to keep federal offices open. President Obama passed the $275 housing bill in an effort to clean up all of the creative housing loans that President Bush had approved almost dismantling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. President Bush housing economics caused the reality today of it being less inexpensive to rent than to buy a home. Americans owe more on their mortgages than the value of their homes. The state of their housing situation is called an upside mortgage or a mortgage below water.

President Obama recently passed the Credit Card Bill of Rights to protect consumers. President Obama enacted the National Service Act in keeping with his campaign promise to help students with college tuition if they would help out in their communities. President Obama passed the Lily Ledbetter Act that gave women the right to speak out to get their pay on a more equal level with that of men doing the same type of work. The Lily Ledbetter Act was the first bill passed into law after Obama became president.

Obama has represented the United States as a country who can not do it all to fix the world's economy and welcomed British help at the G20 summit. Although the British and other foreign governments were not keen on stimulus packages, there was an agreement put in place to help countries needing financial assistance to govern.

President Obama has met the Queen of England and is now in Russia hoping to strenghen US ties although the majority of Americans are not keen on Russians. The president is keeping with his campaign promise to open dialogue and transparency to foreign diplomats which is in contrast to the Bush administration

. No one is calling to impeach Obama as in Nixon's and Clinton's case and instead is rallying with the new president. There has been a few "tea party demonstrations" because some Americans think that the new programs would involve taxing the American people and that is an American Right.

Most of Obama's economic policies deal with ending wasteful government spending by ending government programs that do not work. Also President Obama is working to reform a health care system that he says may be the basis of the economic problem that America is facing. Health care cost consumers quite a lot and may be in an abusive state with the private insurance companies ability to bid on cost of premiums.

President Obama is not adding any tax liabilites to Americans making less than $250,000 a year and has caused Forbes to publish havens for the rich to store their assets. President Bush do not see the feasibility of the middle class paying more taxes than the upper 3 to 5 per cent of the population. Because of the President shifting some of the weight of the Amercan middle class, some Americans are calling his way of governing socialism. If you compare what a socialist government is all about, you would disagree with that accusation. It is certain that a socialist government do not have the checks and balances of the House of Representatives and the Senate to keep the country running. Also, a socialist goverrnment will not work in a democratic manner to govern. The extensive differences in a democracy and a socialist government does not warrant any attention in this article. Americans would surely be voicing their opinions to the attention of the world if they think that their system of government was being changed in such a way.

Reaganomics as Americans called former President Reagans method of economizing the government has not given way to Obamanomics because President Obama works with economic leaders like Tim Geithner and other financial leaders. President Obama is one of the few presidents who seem to want to take himself out of the political atmosphere and to be with the people when he is not travel the world doing his job. He reads ten letters daily to keep abreast of what concerns the American people. Obama knows how he got elected and is not evading or avoiding any of his campaign promises.

The president is working and doing a great job as the Commander in Chief of the United States. In answer to your assertion that the president should not be involved with GM and Chrysler, where were these companies supposed to go for relief when they could not pay their creditors? Would the state of Texas have the funds to bail out companies owing almost $400 million and more to creditors? The president and the Congress negotiated with the these enabling companies who would not settle amicably with the major automobile dealers.

This is not the first time that a president had to delve into the economics of consumers. Former President Bush issued tax rebates to the American people just before his term in office was over. The economy did not recover because of his efforts and no one really cared because Americans had grown accustomed to how politics had been working or not working in America. Should the American people write a check of their rebates back to the government? GM is now considering coming out of bankruptcy so the government is not running GM and never did. The money given GM by the government was not wasted because thousands of Americans remained on GM payrolls and could support their families because of the government bailouts,

President Roosevelt, during the Great Depression where employment was well over the 9.6 per cent that it is now, topping 30 per cent had to get involved with consumer economics. HIs famous quote during those tough economic times was that the only fear Americans had to fear was fear itself.

I know what a president should do because everytime I turn on CNN, read a paper , go online to read Slater or Politico, see a president actually traveling and working for the American people instead of ducking shoes. I see dialogue like this talking about Obama in blogs because now people are actually talking about politics. People are keeping up with what the president is doing. I am proud to be an American.

The job of any president is basically to keep order and to keep peace with the constituents of the organization. The president is doing a great job dealing with a party of no, the republicans and keeping the country moving forward as the western leader of the world.

President Obama has reached over party lines to appoint Judd Gregg as Commerce Secretary. Obama's reward was a stepping down of Judd Gregg who seems to welcome media attention of his opinions about the Obama administration. One politician after 29 years changed from the republican party to the democatic party. Was the crossover influenced by the Obama administration? Why would someone leave a party after twenty nine years to get into a dogpile. This politician knew that the Obama administration was not a dogpile and if he was to win reelection he had to go with the American people's vote.

When you comment on President Obama, check the voting records of the republicans and the democrats in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Ever since President Washington was President of the United States these branches of government have been in place with checks and balances to keep government in its place and governing the American people fairly. President Obama was not given the power to govern the United States alone and must work with Congress to get his work done. Obama has the right to veto a bill but why would he stop legislation that was put in place to help the American people?

The state of the country is not all about President Barack Obama. The state of the country is not all about failed economic policies of former President Bush.The state of the country is about the fact that democracy works because the people voted in and is now involved more than ever in the politics of the land.

President Obama is moving forward with policies and procedures that had to be taken because of the economic mess "inherited" not from the cabinet of rivals that he has formed but from a cabinet of George Bush's millionaires as documented by the Guiness Book of World Records. Many Americans still question the legality of former President Bush's second term in office where he won against Al Gore. A lot of times how one gets in office has a lot to do with their performance which is a general statement but as the popular adage: Easy come, easy go.

Texan, who would you say cares more about the American people? Does a grassroots people's president who had to work hard to prove that he was up for the huge task of dealing with two wars, an energy crisis, and an economic mess care about the American people? Or do a fellow Texan who was handed a second term in office thanks to his brother and who left office to the tune of Jay Leno asking if he should answer for the economic mess with a boot of a farewell and a cabinet full of rich politicians care about the poor and middle class of America?
