President Obama's pet Bo who had recently arrived at the white house as the first family pet is being marketed by the Ty company as the Bo Beanie Baby.  USA today reports that the stuffed animals of the portuguese water dog is sell off of store shelves like hot cakes.  The shaggy black and white dog is selling fast.  The Ty company had run into problems making dolls from the likes of President Obama two daughter's, Malia 10 and Sasha. 7.  Michelle Obama, the first lady said that it was not appropriate for her two daughters to have their real names used on the Ty dolls of their likeness.  The Ty company stopped producing the dolls immediately as ordered retiring the dolls dubbed as "Marvelous Malia" and "Sweet Sasha."

The portuguese water dog, Bo, however profits in its likeness and has proved a very marketable item for  most stores in the country. Be, the Obama puppy can be seen in stores stocked and stacked ready to be purchased and cuddled as a Beanie Baby.

USA Today reports that a few of the Bo Beanie Babies were sent to the Learning Express Shop and sold out quickly. The popular presidential pooch replica has been selling out within hours of entering retail establishments.

Ty, the Beanie Baby logo company introduced the Bo Beanie Baby to the world two days after Bo met the first family on April 16, 2009. Two days before the toy arrival, Bo, the real portuguese water dog took a photo with President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Malia Obama and Sasha Obama. Ty Warner, the president of the Ty Company said that he wanted to celebrate with the first family on their acqusition of the famous pooch, Bo.

Bo, the Beanie Baby from the Ty Company has been sold on ebay from $5.00 to $139.95. The proceeds of the money from the sale of Bo the Beanie Baby will go to animal shelters around the country.
