President of Iran
58
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the current president of Iran, was elected to this office in the year 2005. Although he is not a cleric, he echoed the views of the former president of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, whom Ahmadinejad has always looked up to. For those of you who don't remember the Iran hostage crisis, Khomeini, was the one who held 52 US diplomatic hostages for 444 days from November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981.
In September of 2005, Ahmadinejad gave a fiery speech at the UN General Assembly concerning Iran's nuclear program. Only a month later he made a comment concerning Israel. He quoted and agreed with a statement that Khomeini made about Israel; that they should be eliminated from the pages of history.
Ahmadinejad still wasn't finished. Two months later, he gave a speech, in which he denied that the Holocaust, where more than six million Jews were exterminated at the hands of the German Nazi regime, had ever taken place. He claimed that the Jews had invented the Holocaust as a myth. He claimed, It gave them power over other people and religions.
Ahmadinejad is accelerating Iran's nuclear research program, and some say that Iran is about two years away from building a nuclear weapon. Their weapons are all in the terrorist hands of Hamas and others now, do you really believe that they just want to build their nuclear power capacities to support a civilian energy program?
Iran, Syria, Pakistan, and North Korea, are nations with leaders that use hate, violence, and destruction as their guide. They are systems that we have to keep our eyes on. Their intents are for harm on the innocent, and destruction to anyone who doesn't fall in line with what their ideals are.
Hamas and other terrorist organizations around the world and the nations like Iran and Syria that support and fuel them, are committed, not only to kill all the Jews, but also, "to kill all the infidels." An infidel is anyone who is not a Muslim.
Are you a Muslim? What's going on in the middle east right now is some thing that should concern all of us. Our economy is important, and paying off our debt is important, but letting a bully just continue to harass us and the rest of the free world, is important also. The tension between Israel and Palestine has been going on for decades, and will continue if we don't stop it right now.
To quote a famous person that I have always looked up to, Popeye. He said, " I have taken all I can stands, I can't stands no more."

Thanks for your comment Jim.
Brian thanks for this timely reminder, the lessons of history are so slowley learned in the west. There's no apeacing many people in that region like the current and mad Iranian president. He is mad that despite their covert oprations to destroy the state of Israel, it remains vibrant and striving. The crusades were wrong, and they were launched by misguided western leaders wanting to drive out the Islamist who invaded, plundered and killed many Jews from as early as the 6th century. After spending centuries abroad, prevented from returning to their land by the Persians, Grecians, Turks and British, the UN gave them a mandate, an opportunity to returned but split their lands and allowed many from surrounding Arabic states today known as the "Palistinians", to live in the land. This name was given to the area by the Romans who captured the land, and as a punishment to the Jewish people who were attacking them to leave, change the name of the land, as an insult to the Jews. This group has grown and now wants a part of the capital city jerusalem which was never an Islamic city until it was captured from the Jews by Islamic forces. The invasion of Israel by a combination of Arabs states, in the 60's and 70's did not destroy those people either. Why were they so strong against an insurmountable foe? Biblical history gave them rights to the land, and America is blessed because it fight on the side of jutice and fair play, in short they are God's helpers for Israel. Iran can never hurt Israel more than they can be hurt by the Jewish state, for Israel have the military power to hit Iran where it really hurt. She have God,and America on her side and America will always fight for justice, despite Obama's peace initiatives and cautious overtures. God will not fail even if America does!
Thanks for that great comment. You really know your history Ken, I appreciate all the valuable information. So many people rely on the few news media outlets to give them only what there biased owners want them to hear.
Thank you again Ken, and I hope to hear from you again soon.
God bless
Brian
