Do you wear pink often? Do you enjoy wearing pink? It's a well known fact that when people are around the color pink, very specific feelings are elicited. According to a recent survey, the most common emotional response to the color pink were positive feelings regarding love, friendship, femininity and beauty.

So, when you go shopping and are looking for a nice sweater, do you shirk and say, "Yuck, it's pink!" Or does your voice soften as you respond, "Wow, isn't that a pretty shade of pink." And, are you responding to the style, or is it possible your remarks are an emotional response to the color PINK. Good question, huh?

According to Mr. Henry Dreyfus, the color pink is normally associated with girls and femininity. It is considered a color of good health and good life, possibly fueled by the well known phrase "in the pink."

So the next time you go shopping you might notice if certain emotions are felt or remembered while looking at a particular color. Does wearing pink really make you feel better, sexier, or more in control. If so, does that mean you might respond differently to others when you are all pinked out and are others going to respond differently to you. I wonder?

I find it interesting that the color Navy is usually recommended for job interviews. I used to work for an attorney as a receptionist and he insisted I wear Navy whenever we were taking a deposition. If he, or one of his partners, showed up at work in a 3-piece Navy suit, I automatically knew they had a court appearance. Did a Navy, versus a Black, suit really make them look more professional, or FEEL more professional. I wonder?

Anyway, I like pink. I have pink shoes and I have a couple pink purses. But, I realize pink purses aren't for everyone. But if you enjoy wearing pink, if it makes you feel more in control or more feminine, don't let others rain on your parade.
