Do you wake people up by sleeping? Do you snore when you sleep every night? How does it feel? I bet it feels terrible.

Knowing that while as you sleep soundly, other people are kept awake is a hard thing to accept. Luckily, there are now many ways to prevent this ugly truth in life. Snoring is an annoying menace, and it could be deadly in some instances. In this article, the aim is to give you an idea on how to prevent snoring and all its evils. In order for us to understand snoring prevention, we must first know what causes it.

There are different causes for snoring, and each of these has their own snoring remedies. One is our position when we sleep. Many people snore especially louder when they lie down on their backs. Back in the early 1900’s, a man named L.F. Liebhardt made a contraption which involved strapping a hollow  ball into the back of the snorer which made it impossible for the user to lie down on his back. Though it could stop snoring, it could also prevent you from sleeping. So that didn’t really work out so well. Fortunately, some companies introduced a more comfortable version of the iniquitous strapped ball called a snoring pillow which moves your head in different directions in order to avoid snoring.

Another cause of snoring could be the way you breathe. Some people have too much throat tissue which creates the sounds coming from their throat, more commonly known as the annoying snore. If this is the kind of snorer you are, then what you have to do is either one of the two. One, work out and start losing weight, or two, have surgery. So which one is it? Well, let me explain it first before you jump out of your jeans.

The first choice says lose weight. Some of that extra tissue could only be affecting your breathing and your snoring if there were some fat pushing it to the passageways of air. If you lose some of that weight, that means you lose that pushing fat, and when that happens, you’re free as a bird. However, if you think that you don’t really need to lose any weight, that I’d say choice number two would be the one for you. If you’re not fat at all but your snoring still sounds like a pig falling from the top of the Empire State Building, it could mean that you have some excess throat tissue lying there somewhere which could only be surgically removed. Don’t worry, it works.
