2005 Pride and Prejudice Movie

The Pride and Prejudice trailer below is from the Oscar nominated movie released in 2005. The Pride and Prejudice movie had several stars including Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfayden, Donald Sutherland, Brenda Blethyn, Tom Hollander and Jena Malone.

Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen's second novel. The classic book is set in the eighteenth century. The novel focuses on the characters and their personal relationships with one another, particularly marriages. Austen writes in a light style with a bit of satire. Pride and Prejudice has both comedy and romance.

The opening line in Pride and Prejudice is well-known: "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife".

There are other Pride and Prejudice videos, including the 1995 Pride and Prejudice, the 1980 Pride and Prejudice miniseries, and a video from the 1940 movie version.
