Overview
Procera AVH™ is a nutritional supplement developed by “scientists” for the purpose of improving mental function. According to the product website, Procera AVH™ will address problems of forgetfulness, brain “fog,” inability to focus, mood swings, and mental exhaustion. These are said to be symptomatic of aging, stress, sleep loss, and an improper diet. Accordingly, Procera AVH™ is said to improve focus and concentration, sharpen thinking, boost alertness, elevate self-esteem, and reduce depression and stress. This is a tall order.

I’m not completely convinced by Procera AVH’s™ approach. Though the product is supported by clinical trials and a mildly helpful website, the supplement appears to be rather conventional. In other words, consumers might just as well choose another brain-enhancing supplement as purchase Procera AVH™. This sort of situation encourages ambivalence on the part of consumers, and that’s unfortunate.

Ingredients at a Glance
Procera AVH™ contains Acetyl L-Carnitine, Vinpocetine, and Huperzine A.

Ingredients in Focus
Acetyl L-Carnitine is derived from lysine and methionine and is mainly used by the liver and kidneys. It helps oxidize fatty acids, and so we see it in a lot of weight loss supplements on the market. Auxiliary benefits might include cellular energy in the brain and enhanced mental performance. However, this is not what the ingredient is known for.

Vinpocetine is an herbal remedy, derived from periwinkle, used to increase blood flow and oxygen uptake in the brain. It is also thought to enhance the memory.

Huperzine A is a botanical ingredient that has been used in China for centuries. Currently, it is being tried as a treatment for various neurodegeneration diseases, including Alzheimer’s. The results are not in yet, however. And negative side effects might include breathing challenges, throat/chest tightness, chest pain, hives, rash, itchiness, swelling, upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, hyperactivity, and insomnia. In my opinion, a list of such side effects is no small matter.

Pros

  • Supported by some clinical trial evidence on product website.

Cons

  • Possibility of negative side effects.
  • Does not stand out on mental-enhancement market.
  • Website is a bit obnoxious.

Final Thoughts
If you’re suffering from a lack of clarity, focus, alertness, and the like, then you might want to consider a brain-enhancing supplement. I’d recommend supplements that provide nutrition and support for the basic functions of the brain. Procera AVH™ does not seem up to this task, in my opinion, and so you might want to continue shopping, no matter how foggy you’re feeling at the moment.

Gee, this guy really came up with something great......not!

This ingredients have been around for years.

To me, it's nothing more than a marketing scam.

It's nothing more than a marketing scam, IMO.

I've tried it, my wife tried it; Results: It's a SCAM!

I graduated college over 20 years ago(BS in Biology) and recently returned to school to work on a Master's. I quickly realized my memory was not nearly what it use to be; I stumbled across an article in US Today Newspaper on Procera AVH, decided to try it since the article was pretty detailed, explaining exactly how it worked. Once I tried it I noticed significant improvement in my short-term and some in my long term memory plus I was able to concentrate for longer hours;furthermore, the effects were pretty instantaneous.

I'm running low on the product now and stumbled upon this blog (while searching for it at a cheaper price, telling of what a scam the product is...I don't know if these are all just opinions of people who have not tried or what but just because the product has ingredients that are common-place doesn't necessarily mean the product won't work well for some; so I say don't sling around advice until you actually try it for yourself.

Years back when Focus Factor was a big deal, I tried it too (plus had a family member try it). that person thought it worked great but like I discovered - once you stop taking it, it seem your memory is worse than what you originally started with! What's the point in using something if it makes your condition worse if you decide to stop taking it or can't afford to take it.

I notice no such affect after using the Procera AVH. So say what you like...it defiuntely worked well for me - far more than marginally. Lastly - yes the main ingrediance in Procera has been afround for ages - doesn't mean they've been combined and used specifically for the codition this combination it's currently being used for. If that was the case, anyone who eats red meat, ocassionally gets primrose and Heparzine in there system should have a impeccable memory, yes? well, I don't think this is the case.
