Intel also has a line of low-power processors aimed at ultra-portable notebooks, UMPCs and tablets, made by the series processors ULV (Ultra Low Voltage). While a celery n M 440 has a TDP 27 watts, many processors ULV series of working within a TDP of only 5 watts! The reduction in consumption is achieved through a combination of lower frequencies of operation and use of reduced tensions, resulting in a cascade effect, which dramatically reduces the consumption of the processor.

The UVL processors have their limitations, since they offer a poor performance and (except for the Celerons) processors are far from cheap. Nevertheless, they are used in some notebooks ultraportáteis (not necessarily cheaper models), plus UMPCs from other compact devices.

An example of a processor-based notebook UL V is the Vaio VGN-TX670P. He is an Ultra with a wide screen of 11.1 ", weighing only 1:26 kg (including battery). Among other features, it offers the opportunity to be continuously connected to the web via a WAN interface, a GSM cellular transmitter included directly in the notebook, which allows accessing the web via GPRS or EDGE, using a data plan.

It is equipped with a Pentium M 753 ULV of 1.2 GHz, USA that voltage is only 0.924V and between models with TDP of 5 watts. The first Pentium M ULV were still based on Banias, but due to low frequency operation, low voltage and other improvements, working within a TDP of only 7 watts. A year later, we launched the Pentium M ULV based on the Dothan core, where the TDP was reduced to only 5 watts.

The first two models based on the Banias operated, respectively, 900 MHz and 1.0 GHz and still were not sold under the numbering system. The third model is the Pentium M ULV 713, which operated the 1.1 GHz

List of the Pentium M ULV based on Dothan core includes the models 723 (1.0 GHz, 2 MB, 5W, 400 MHz), 733 (1.1 GHz, 2 MB, 5W, 400 MHz), 753 (1.2 GHz, 2 MB, 5W , 400 MHz) and 773 (1.3 GHz, 2 MB, 5W, 400 MHz).

There also 2 models of the Celeron M ULV based "Dothan-512", the Celeron ULV 353 (900 MHz, 512 KB, 5W, 400 MHz) and ULV 373 (1.0 GHz, 512 KB, 5W, 400 MHz).

Among based Yonah ULV Core Solo U1300 we have (1.06 GHz, 2 MB, 5.5W, 533 MHz), U1400 (1.2 GHz, 2 MB, 5.5W, 533 MHz) and U1500 (1.33 GHz, 2 MB, 5.5W , 533 MHz), the Core Duo U2400 (1.06 GHz, 2 MB, 9W, 533 MHz) andU2500 (1.2 GHz, 2 MB, 9W, 533 MHz), and the Celeron M 423 (1.06 GHz, 1 MB, 5.5W, 533 MHz) and 443 (1.2 GHz, 1 MB, 5.5W, 533 MHz).

There are two processors ULV based Meron-2M (the version of Meron with only 2 MB of L2 cache), the Core 2 Duo ULVU7500 (1.06 GHz, 2 MB, 10W, 533 MHz) and U7600 (1.2 GHz, 2 MB , 10W, 533 MHz).
