Product Consumption

Why do people buy products and don't use them?

There are products like food and toilet paper that you will fully consume. Actually I know of individuals who actually waste perfectly good food.

I talk with authors who tell me that even though they are on the NY Times Best Sellers list, that only about 5% of the books they sell are ever read cover to cover.

I present at conferences all over the country to meet seminar junkies. These individuals spend between 2 to 10 thousand dollars to go these programs and buy the latest product. They then never particpate in them. Nor do they ask for a refund. Why?

I do have an explaination. It's called Applicititus. But I want to hear from you on the subject.

I want to know why you buy a book only to put it on a shelf? Why have you bought a training program only to not be trained? Help me understand why you buy a product and don't use it.

Thanks,

Michael Spindelman (AKA The Flow Doctor)

Right - failure to apply what we've acquired or learned. Think you nailed this one.
