What you crave. I’m loving it. You gotta eat. Come hungry leave happy. These are all slogans that teens all around the country hear every day, and know by heart. They see the ads for the products and go out buy or consume it. Now what would be the difference if they saw this at school as well?
Nothing. With the budgetary constraints involving many school districts advertising is a simple an effective solution. Having a certain brand of soda sold at your school or having a sign under the scoreboard saying whom it was sponsor by, many feel will only help the students. It is a simple way for the school to generate money so they can fund more programs that will help the students excel. No matter where the students look they are going to see advertising. Most of them are wearing name brand items, which feature the name promptly on the front. So what’s the difference with allowing advertisers in the school? Should we not allow students to wear name brand clothing because that is advertising? Well you can’t stop that, so why not focus on ways to help the students. Do some advertising, and allow the students to have a good school career. My high school signed a contract with Pepsi. Our school agreed to only vend Pepsi products in their machines if Pepsi would buy us a new track, scoreboard and lights for our football field. Since we got all of the schools homecomings have been bigger than every, and student have been involved with the community to bring them a fun a memorable night. Maybe then schools should be allowed to use advertising to generate money. Overall the idea brings more positive effects then negative. If the school district does this they can focus on more important things, such as getting more students to do well in life.Share it! — Rate it: up down [flag this hub]
