Projection Alarm Clocks

One of the biggest problems with alarm clocks is being able to look at them at night and check the time. You have to roll over in bed, possibly over the other occupant of the bed, and then squint in the darkness to view the display. The best and most practical solution to this problem is the modern projection alarm clock. Some may have seen clocks like this in the past that even gave an analog display, poorly focused, on the ceiling. But now we have access, due to digital technology, to a whole range of far better solutions. Modern projection alarm clocks use digital LCD projection technology, just like that used in high-end projection televisions, to render a crisp, clear image displaying whatever data are desired.

Many of these devices incorporate weather information, such as temperature and even wind direction and speed, into the same display. Imagine being able to glance at the ceiling in the morning and know instantly whether or not you really feel like getting up. And, if you do decide to get up after all, you'll know exactly how to dress and even which way to face when you step out of the door into the wind.

An alarm clock with projection can display on any surface, as well. If you sleep on your side, as many with bad backs are forced to do, you can arrange the display on the wall. If you sleep sitting up, it can be on the wall at the foot of the bed. And, of course, it can be displayed on the ceiling. If your bedmate doesn't take to the convenience of the display, it can be angled in such a manner that they are not forced to view it. You can even vary the color of the display to suit your moods, if it strikes your fancy.

This technology also opens up a range of other convenient and entertaining features. Once you have a projector, there is almost no limit to what you can project. You can have a projection alarm clock radio set to a station, so you know why you're hearing that awful noise in the morning. Of course, these clocks can do anything a regular clock can do. They can play a radio, a tape, any sort of alarm noise. They can even play soothing "environmental sounds," like chirping crickets, seashore sounds, or trickling waterfalls.

One of the most entertaining uses of these devices is to project images onto the ceiling. Some of the popular sorts of images are rainbows, stars, and even the moon. With the sky brightly displayed above you, it's like sleeping outdoors, without the bugs and snakes. And, you will seldom see as nice a display in the sky as is available on your ceiling, especially if you live in an urban or built-up area. There's just no doubt about it, the invention of the projection alarm clock has made everyone's life both more interesting and more entertaining. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy one soon.

That would be nice, to wake up to a peaceful projection image instead of sound.
