A small business professional, such as yourself, may one day accept a opportunity to volunteer for a charitable event that you support. This is a great time to wear something that promotes your own business presence.

The opportunity to volunteer at a event exposes you to future and prospective clients and customers not to mention, free publicity therefore of extremely great value for your own business. This simple home project can be easily done by yourself and taught to your own child(ren) maybe to start their own part-time and fashionable, self-employment opportunity.

I am discussing the use of a simple T-Shirt transfer project. The materials you will need are as follows ;

• inkjet printer

• t-shirt heat transfer paper

• iron

• xacto blade/scissors

• blank t-shirt

• time

The use of your business logo will be the design for your t-shirt. You do not have to necessarily use a t-shirt as you can also use it on a sweat shirt or hoody. The choice is yours and all sorts of options available since this is a easy project.

1. Prepare your logo on the computer to your desired size. Flip the photo so it prints in reverse.

2. Crop to the very edges.

3. Turn your iron on to highest setting.

4. Load the transfer paper into your inkjet printer and print the number of copies you wish.

5. Pre-iron your selected spot (on your t-shirt) to lay your transfer. Warms it up for stickiness.

6. Peel off backing from transfer paper and place on your t-shirt.

7. Cover your transfer with freezer paper.

8. Iron over your transfer. Ensure you iron along the edges of your design for long term hold!

9. Remove iron and freezer paper. Allow your transfer to cool. 30 minutes.

10. Cool again and you are finished.

A t-shirt with your business logo will invite people to ask you questions, help build your business presence and start the word-of-mouth advertising process. The next few days you may find yourself with new customers and clients.

Please note that not all heat transfers require the above mentioned steps but freezer paper is recommended to prevent burning your design and t-shirt fabric. Place a towel or other item inside the t-shirt. Ensure you separate front and back of t-shirt if you decide to iron a design on both sides!
