YES ON PROP 4

I live in California and in this election, there is another proposition that does not seem to have the same visibility as other propositions in the ballot. Proposition 4 was put on the ballot to require doctor to notify a parent or in case of parental abuse, an adult family member such as a grandparent, before an abortion is performed on a girl under age 18. I was not aware that currently California law alows male predators to cover up for their crimes by forcing minor girls into secret abortions without the knowledge of parents or law enforcement. These predators can take these underage girls for abortions without their families ever knowing. As a mother of an underage girl, I am appalled by this!!!! Who is the California law protecting?

Who is Sarah? Sarah was an underage girl (15 years old) when she had a secret surgical abortion. Days after her secret abortion, she developed complications from it which resulted in high fever and fatal infection. Sarah's life could have been saved if only her family had been notified about the abortion. Sarah is not the only one who was victimized and forced to have a secret abortion. There are so many others with the same heartbreaking stories and fatal consequences. I don't want my family to ever have to face the same situation as Sarah's family. This is why, I am writing tonight in the hopes that citizens of California is aware of this proposition and we need to stand up for the protection of our parental rights.

I am in shock that the state of California does not have a law that protects the innocent. I guess I should not be shocked because it seems nowadays the value of human life has been so significantly minimized and devalued. If a nurse at school can not give a child an aspirin without parent's consent; how can on underage child be subjected to an abortion without parent's consent? It is time to hold abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood accountable to the parents by ensuring that they notify underage child's family or other family member in case of parental abuse and the law enforcement in cases of sexual abuse of a minor. Please go to www.YESon4.net to get more information. It is time we take a stand to protect our young girls by passing Proposition 4 before it is too late. California Please Vote Yes on Proposition 4!!!

Thank you for your enlightening information on Prop 4. This does seem like a very important issue. As a parent who is financially responsible for my child as well as legally responsible for them... why on earth would I not be notified? This seems ridiculous to me. I guess there will be a lot of Yes votes on my ballot this year!
