Protect America Reviews #1 Home Security

Trying to find a good alarm for your home is tough. This is your family we're talking about, so buying a random security system off the internet just won't cut it. You want the best alarm and the best service - you want only the best for your family!

I had been surfing around the net researching different companies to sign with; Protect America, Brinks, ADT... Different systems and definitely different service. For me, I prioritized service and quality. I decided to research these 3 companies because they are the "big" names in Home Security. I justified ruling out the smaller competitors because 1: The don't have the number of years in experience 2: They will have more glitches in their system due to this lack of experience 3: They're probably just less knowledgeable about Home Security in general. Here are a few things I discovered about Service Quality, and Product Quality,

Service Quality: ADT reviews was first, and the quality of service is big for me. If I need help with the system I need to know my provider will be there, so I did some online research for this including the BBB - Better Business Bureau. They had a whopping 96 "unassigned" customer service complaints. I didn't like this at all. How can a company ignore 96 complaints? Their installation fee was kind of a downer for me. A bit pricey just for installing, but ok if they get it hooked up and running. Then I went through ADT reviews, and endless ADT complaints. The one that stuck with me the most was one where a customer wrote that their system wasn't even fully installed, nor did ADT try contacting the customer after their rear door sensor went off. I read this type of complaint from more than 1 customer. How can you claim that you're a home security company when you don't even answer your sensor when it's screaming "break-in!!"? Were you breaking for lunch hour? ADT is not the kind of service I wanted for my family.

After being completely unimpressed with ADT, I had high hopes for Brinks Security. I scratched Brinks almost instantly because their system is hardwired, which means they come in and drill holes through your walls. I don't live in the greatest of neighbourhoods (hence the need for a security system) so we have bugs and squirrels - squirrels who like to gnaw on wires. With my luck we'd have a squirrel chew the wires, possibly have a break-in, and have to pay for a technician to come out and fix it.Plus what if I wanted to move? I guess I'd have to leave my system in the old house because it is entangled through the walls like a giant puzzle.

I had a little more luck with Protect America. Finally, a wireless alarm! I read good and satisfactory reviews. A lot of people complaining about the contract and how they couldn't get out of it, but with every company you need to give notice. Besides, WHY would you want to stop the service that's protecting your family? Do you just want to protect them for a year or two and then decide you don't love them enough to keep them safe? For me, I'm going to have home security for the rest of my life! I will love my family forever! Protecting your home for a year kind of defeats the purpose.

Like all companies you're going to have happy and angry customers. People are needy, and greedy. I am willing to spend my hard earned money on my family - protecting them - for life.

Liking what I saw, I gave them a call. Excellent salesman, and very professional. His name was Mike and he knew home security as if he had invented it. I was definitely excited talking to him on the phone...until we got to the 'self-install' part. I expressed my concerns of installing it wrong, but he assured me I would be fine. He also gave me his personal contact information so that if I had any problems I could call him directly. Now that's customer service! I was still afraid of the self-install, but the 7 day cancellation made me feel ok to try. Then we got to the monitoring rate, and it was definitely the cheapest of the 3 companies. This made me feel great. Price wasn't really an issue, but we all feel good when we get the best deal ... and Protect America is the best home security deal for me.

Then, I found out I didn't even have to pay for my system! Definitely a perk over the other companies. That self-install was sounding pretty great at this point. I decided to sign the electronic agreement, which took about 4 minutes, and Mike took his time to walk me through it. We chatted a lot during our phone call, it felt like I was their only customer - nothing I had expected to experience from a nation wide company. One-on-one service.

Just 2 days later I received the system and before I even opened the box I called Mike. He talked me through the first couple steps, and after realizing it really is easy to install I let Mike go and finished it myself. I can't believe ADT charges for such an easy task, but I guess that's how they rack up your invoice.

It's been a month and a half since our system's been up and running, and so far so good. Mike even called to follow up with me. He asked if everything was ok and if I needed anything else. VERY good customer service.

Plus, there are no wires for the squirrels to chew!
