Once you have your hands on a Wii Fit, you want to hold on for dear life.  Since they are so hard to find, you do not want to risk damaging the unit.  You may not be able to find another one.  Why risk the heart ache of losing out on the Wii Fit when you can follow the steps below to keep it working long after making the purchase?

You want to wipe down the Wii Fit after every use.  You can use a damp cloth or paper towels to do this, but make sure you keep it dry before storing it.  As far as storing it goes, you can keep it in the box it came in or you can purchase a bag to store it in.  Make sure to keep it safe in some sort of storage container.  This will keep it from being stepped on, kicked around or otherwise physically damaged.

When you use the Wii Fit, you want to make sure you are using it properly.  Follow manual instructions as well as what the game tells you to do, and never joke around with the Balance Board.  Improperly playing with the Balance Board can damage the internal workings of the device and render it inoperable.  So, make sure to pay attention to how to use it for each exercise, and if you are unsure, take your time to get it right.

Take responsibility for your Wii Balance Board and keep it in tip top shape.  Make sure to store it in a safe place that way you will not be out a video game you cannot find.  The Wii Fit is an excellent game for the whole family, since it gets a lot of use, taking care of it when it is not being played should be a top priority for every household.
