Let me break it down for you. If you want muscles then you need to drink protein supplements. There is no easier way to ease the process along in a healthy way. Every body builder will tell you the same exact thing from the bottom of his heart to the tip of his lips. He has seen countless people including himself get ripped from protein. That’s just the bottom line. But what is the science of it? Well that’s what I am here to talk about. Do not worry because you will soon know everything there is to know in this wide world about this topic. It is really a basic topic having to do with a little bit of science and a little bit of bodily understanding. Anyone can understand it and get to going in a matter of a few days. Before long you will see that your hard work and supplement program has paid off quicker than you ever thought possible. It is just that amazing. I can’t wait to get started here.

Best Protein Supplements

There are several types of protein supplements based on the protein source: whey, eggs, milk casein, etc. Whey protein supplements are the most used and because of this most people think of this type when they say protein supplements. Whey is a by product of the cheese making process. Somehow by some miracle of chemical mutation this makes it possible to build and retain muscles. That is a whole new world that you may not be aware of. Well, let me tell you about it. Maybe you can turn from a sissy into a big old buff guy who can knock down anyone who stands in your path.

Whey protein is one of the best supplements for building muscles. Because it has fast absorption it is used immediately after the training, to send the amino acids fast to the muscles,  in the ca. 45 minutes window of disproportionate contribution to muscle growth.

The slower absorption proteins (from eggs, milk) are better used for example at night or during the day, but not immediately after the weight training. Or they can be used immediately after training, but better in combination with fast absorption protein (whey), as well. The slower absorption proteins ensure a time-released continuous flow of amino acids to the muscles, which supports muscle growth.

The best protein supplements include other elements that further enhance their positive effects, such as enzymes to support better digestion, glutamine to support muscle recovery after intense effort, etc. As a nice to have, which may be important for many people though, they have good taste, which makes it a pleasure to have a serving.

Protein Powder Supplements

Powder is the most used form of protein supplements. There are also liquid supplements, which on a per serving base are more expensive. However, liquid protein supplements may prove helpful immediately before and after training, because of faster absorption.

Cheap Protein Supplements

Now let’s look at the question of how to get cheap protein supplements. They are all over the Internet. The web is the ideal marketplace to find them cheap. That’s where they’re at. These providers can offer them for less because they don’t have to store them in a physical storefront location, pay exorbitant rent, hire multiple sales clerks, etc.
However, don’t look only at the price when you make your choice. Some of the less cheap alternatives are well worth the premium they charge if you consider the additional elements added, to support better digestion and assimilation, support faster recovery, etc.

Do we really need protein supplementation?

This is a good question. I believe some people go to the extreme and supplement proteins in excess. The supplements may prove helpful when for example you do weight training and the body has an increased need of proteins, in order to (re)construct muscles. However, even in such a case, it is wise to take a large part of your proteins from food. This is to say, you should not rely primarily on supplements to get the proteins you need and just have a small part of your total intake from food.
Like all things in life, too much is not good. But used wisely, protein supplements may serve well your body needs.
