Proverbs: What it is for and How to Make it Effective
(1) These are wise spiritual words written by Solomon, David's son, king of Israel: (2) Meditate these verses and you get wiser and more disciplined, able to get deep insights from God. (3) Being highly disciplined and with a life run by God-principles, only then can you do what is right, fair, and just. (4) Meditating these verses makes the inexperienced wise and makes the young responsible in decision-making. (5) The already wise can get deeper wisdom from them, and people with powerful discernment will find them richer still with new directions. Proverb's potential is boundless. (6) By them we get into the same wavelength as the wise in God are and catch their spirit, mindset, and life.
Making Wisdom Effective
(7) Fearing God is where true intelligence begins, but how can fools get to the deeper things of God--God's wisdom--if they despise fearing God, which is the basic. (8) True wisdom all begins with spiritual fathering. You've got to have a godly father and mother in faith and keep your ears glued to their Kingdom rhema instructions. Be a spiritual son to a spiritual father. (9) This way you get a head full of blossoming wisdom and spiritual rewards to make your life beautiful to God's eyes. (10) As a spiritual son, you should not be affected or influenced in anyway by what ungodly people lure you with. (11) They're fond of forming a mob and harassing those who don't think as they do. (12) They're naturally cruel and greedy like the grave, not content at getting a limb but wants to gulp the whole body as well. (13) The idea is that the more they grab for themselves the happier they are. It's pure selfish materialism. (14) And they want you in; they want you to think as they do because in that way they take possession of you. (15) If you're a true son, you won't even get your shadow on their path. (16) That path makes you acceptable to them, but unknowingly you fall deeper into sin and hatred. You're more a friend of the world.
Stupidity of Spiritual Folly
(17) They think they're smart but who are they fooling except themselves? In the end they get nothing, zero, pfft! (18) And they find themselves victims of their own foolishness. (19) This is a surefire end result for all who operate in greed: spiritual death in hell.
It's Easy to Get God's Wisdom--Only man's Pride Makes it Seem Hard to Find
(20) True wisdom is not hard to find--it's available in the streets and public places. (21) And the woman wisdom does not whisper secrets; she literally shouts to all. Even amid the busyness of life, in the middle of its hustle and bustle and noise, wisdom constantly makes her presence felt. So there's really no excuse for spiritual ignorance, or "lack of time" as some insist. (22) And she shouts: "Hey! You think you're smart and don't need God? Okay. But the smarter you get in this world the dumber you are in God's eyes. You think the sophisticated lifestyle makes you more complex modern human beings? No, you're just more primitive. More ignorant. You want to remain like that?
(23) If you had genuinely repented, I would have given you God's very heart and mind. (24-25) But since you belittle everything spiritual and of God (paying them nothing but lip-service belief) and prefer earthly ways like your denominational church politics, (26) you will suffer the consequences of man's ways--like what devastating catastrophes and disasters and climate changes are happening to you now on a global scale--and I will laugh and make fun of you instead of hear your prayers--even if you tire yourself with overnight prayer meetings and non-stop worships. (27) God's wisdom is designed to protect you from any such harm. But because even your churches are bereft of it, having rejected it in favor of their separatist denominational doctrines and policies and manuals, these evils now pursue you and overtake you.
Useless Repentance
(28) There will come a time when God will be fed up and repentance will be useless. I will not answer any of their prayers. Even if they worship expressively for long hours in church, they will just have an imagined fabrication of my "presence." They will claim that I am in their midst, but it's all a mere figment of their imagination. (29) Why? It's because in God's eyes, they did nothing but hate his true spiritual wisdom when they opted for man's ways. And that is equal to rejecting the fear of the Lord. (30) They belittled even my simple advices and made light of my rebuke. (31) So, I'm going to let them have it--the fruit of man's ways, the plans and programs and activities they have planned for themselves and used my name to get them approved by heaven.
Man's and God's Ways
(32) Man's ways are all wrong and can kill, and preferring them leads to spiritual destruction. (33) But all who are updated in the present Move of God, with all his spiritual wisdom, will rest in God safely, free of any fear.
