Right Heart for True Wisdom

(1) A great part of genuine sonship in fathering is accepting the words of your father in faith and keeping them deep in your heart, making them a vital part of you. (2) This accustoms you to always have a sharp and sensitive ear for true wisdom, making your heart utterly determined to understand God through obedience. (3) Though wisdom is easy to get, being available anywhere you are, yet you must urgently call out for deeper insight, even cry out loud begging for true understanding. (4) It's the same as meticulously looking for silver and taking risks with all-out efforts digging hidden treasures. (5) If you treat the Word this seriously, then and only then will you begin to understand the true meaning of fearing the Lord. Only then can you really find God's genuine knowledge.

Effects of Wisdom

(6) Well, to be sure, the Lord is more than willing to dole out wisdom to anyone. But understand that true wisdom is sourced from his very mouth alone (7) and this wisdom from his own breath is what assures spiritual victory, because it produces righteousness. Breath from His mouth (spoken Word) produces Life. Remember, God becomes a real shield to those who lead a blameless God-life. (8) Why? Well, for one, God himself will guard each path they take. Because they do everything according to God's ways and not man's ways, they are protected in their faithfulness. This is the kind of faith God seeks.

(9) Then and only then, after getting wisdom straight from the Father's mouth and doing all things in God's ways alone, will you understand what is right, good, fair, and just. (10) Only then will true Kingdom wisdom enter your heart--your life and character--and find all of God's, like his spiritual and supernatural ways, the only things effective and the only things that truly matter. Nothing else. You will opt for nothing less.

God's Wisdom Saves from Man's Ways and the False Church

(11) God's wisdom is the only kind that protects, (12) saving you especially from man's wicked ways, like those who release lies and corruption from their mouths, (13-15) who detest the straight paths of God and prefer man's devious ways, delighting and basking in them, even celebrating man's corrupted nature.

The Adulteress--The False Church

(16) God's wisdom is all powerful to keep you from the adulteress--that prostitute who takes your attention from God and covets your total devotion and loyalty to him. She is the wayward wife, posing as God's temple or church, the fake bride that deceives many believers with her seductive words or man's theology. (17) In truth, she has left and denied God, her former life partner, by ignoring her covenant with him. All who join her as "church members" are without a covenant with God, too, (18) and their dead lives and spirits show it. In truth, too, it is a dead church and all her beautiful plans and programs and activities lead down to death, though they look good and alive. (19) The really sorry part is that all who cling to her never discover or return to the true Life and Light, but rot in spirit.

(20) Hence, remember to connect only with good and righteous men who walk in the Word and ways of God, not of man. (21) For sure, those who are truly in God will stay in God's territory, (22) but the wicked, especially those unfaithful to God and his ways, will be violently "raptured" from it.
