One of the most common questions asked by students new to the study of psychology is "What is psychology?"

Psychology is an academic and applied discipline involving the systematic, and often scientific, study of human/animal mental functions and behavior, and it is both an applied and academic field that studies the human mind and behavior. Research in psychology seeks to understand and explain thought, emotion, and behavior.

But in my article I'm going to post about what they called the reverse psychology. Have you ever tried to tell a person to do what you want by telling them you don't want them to or by just simply "playing hard to get."

Reverse psychology is the ability to convince another person that the first answer they have given, whilst probably the correct one, is actually the wrong answer and that the right answer is in fact the wrong answer. The idea was enforced by two German psychologists--Adorno and Horkheimer. The duo's theory that people respond in an opposite or reverse direction of what they are told has been tested and proved since the ideas debut in the late 1970s.
