Pumpkin Pancakes and a Breakfast Thanks

Good morning breakfastpoppers. Today is Wednesday, November 25, 2009. I'd like to prepare delicious pumpkin pancakes today as a nice prelude to Thanksgiving Day. Let me do all the work as a way of thanking all of you for your presence at my table every morning. The recipe requires 2 cups whole wheat flour, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder, 1 and 1/2 cups milk, 1/2 cup canned pumpkin, 1 large egg and 2 tablespoons canola oil. I am going to mix all the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together. I'll heat my greased pan and plop little puddles of the batter in and flip when the bubbles appear and the edges of the pancake start to dry. Voila! Breakfast is served.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for your support, your participation and your loyalty. Words fail me this morning, because what I am feeling goes beyond mere language. I consider you all to be dear friends. Each morning I have the pleasure of reading your comments and I marvel at your wisdom, your knowledge, your ability to grasp the essence of a problem and analyze it, your fabulous sense of humor and your electrifying wit. This year has enabled us to come together and have a rocking good time. During the week we call out for the bartender and on Friday it's the innkeeper. All this fun is because of you, my friends, who know the value of a good laugh and what it means to be a friend.
You write decisive and sharp commentary, magnificent poems, politically incorrect jokes, delectable recipes, and wonderful heartfelt remembrances of both the good times and the bad. I am in awe of your talent, I really am. I am leaving for vacation and today will be my last hub until my return on December 14th. I shall miss you at my table every morning. I shall miss you in the evening when you pop in for some leftovers. Please take care of yourselves, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and keep the republic safe for the next two weeks. Above all, please know that I am so thankful that you have come into my life. Don't forget about me when I'm gone, I couldn't bear it.

you have become much more than a friend over the last however long it has been. I consider you a Brother and I love all my brothers.
I have had so much fun here in the mornings I cannot express.
Everyone is due their time off and I wish you much enjoyment and a safe road. As a Marine I'd say to you "Fair winds and Following Seas" and know many of us will be awaiting your safe return.
I will be pulling out on December 13 for my annual trip to the Mogollon Rim area of northern Arizona where I will attempt to fill the freezer with Elk and Mule Deer to feed off of for the year to come. It generally is a 4 day trip, 2 days driving and 2 days in the forest as the areas of the "Wet Beaver Wilderness" and "Hanigan's Meadow" are both abundant with game and I can fill my tags most readily. So I will hear from you around the 20th at the latest.
Enjoy yourself and family. You'll be missed around here to be sure!

Dear Pop, I will miss you also. If I have nothing else to laugh about on a particular day I know I will have that laugh with you and all our friends. Each group member is unique and I read all the responses to your hubs. I am especially fond of Tuesdays. Gosh, I hope you have a nice vacation but what am I going to do about breakfast, toast and milk,, it is like being in jail!! Oh,yeah nowadays, jail is more like Ham and eggs served up with the morning paper.
