Puppy Training Video's One Man's Opinion
Puppy training video's one mans opinion is an article I have been wanting to share for quite some time now.
Let me tell you a little history. My family has had Germany Sheppard dogs as far back as I can remember. Some of my early memories of child hood are of playing with Sheaba. A beautiful saddle back, black and tan that could had been on any movie set. We adopted her when I was about 5 years old. I can still remember those vary sharp puppy teeth that ripped though my pjs every morning when we played tug of war.
My mom would get so mad! But Sheaba and I didn't care, we were having way too much fun.
Of course my step dad, a 6'8",250lb police officer was the family dog training and disciplinarian.Sheaba and I got our fair share of whipping's growing up. I would always console her and she me.
Needless to say I did not share in my step fathers training ways. The true uh'ha moment came when my step dad was yelling about something again, either at me or at Sheaba I don't recall which. But I do remember that Sheaba ran to my side and with a vary confident "BARK!" declared that She and I were not to be yelled at or wiped any longer! That moment solidified that I knew much more about training dogs than my step father ever would.
Sheaba is long since passed but I have continued my love for dogs in the same way I did when I was little for Sheaba.
Then along came "Chopper" 5lb.2oz Yorkie that my wife and daughter just had to have.
No more of the heavy duty collars and thick leather leashes I had come accustom to. Now it was rhinestone jewelry and silk pillows.
Well after the puppy faze and the peeing and pooping had not stopped. One vary frustrating morning when I stepped in Choppers mess for the last time. Chopper ran to my daughter in vary much the same way Sheaba did when I was a boy. that's when I caught myself and admitted although I was a vary good trainer of large breed dogs, I was out of my element with small dogs. So, I had to change my way of thinking.
I started as I'm sure you did by using the Internet. Weeding my way though e-books and claims of the best dog training secrets. Then I found a video series on dog training. I don't know about you but I learn much faster when someone shows me how to do something.
For me puppy training video's changed my life. I'll tell ya my wife, daughter and Chopper are much happier for it also.
If you have a problem similar to mine I strongly suggest you find a puppy training video series.
Also if you are a new dog owner or you are looking to be a new dog owner? Please research as much as you can on the size and breed of dog that fits your life and family best. I have found that nearly 90% of dog shelters filled with unwanted dogs because the owner either didn't know how to train a dog or gave up on a miss understood puppy.
Thanks for reading.
