My husband thinks I’m a geek for writing about Laundry Sheets! I kindly reminded him that many of the top geeks are also millionaires and he stopped toying with me. LOL… So, on with the story.

A television commercial made me buy! I was watching TV the other night and saw an advertisement for a new product by Purex—the detergent people. They just launched Purex Complete 3-in-1.

Purex 3-in-1 are laundry sheets that contain detergent, softener and anti-static agents- all together in one sheet. Basically, you put the sheet in your washing machine, then into the dryer and it does everything.

No measuring, no messy liquids or powder and no separate dryer sheets needed.

For some reason the product struck a cord with me and I had to buy some and try them out. (I want to go on record stating that I don't work for Purex- nor do any friends and family!)

I am also one of those women who buys the tunafish in the flat packages, to avoid the messy tuna water slime. No messy tuna, no messy laundry. I think there's a connection!

I found Purex Complete in the regular laundry detergent aisle and a box of 20 sheets cost me about $10- a tad pricy. It did, of course, come with a free plastic dispenser that I can use again and again! (So exciting...)

I chose the Spring Oasis scent, which smelled delightful through the packaging. The detergent is also available in Tropical Escape and Pure & Clean scents.

As I completed my online research for this article, I found more than ten, home made YouTube videos about this product line.

Men and women across the country have tested the Purex 3-in-1 sheets and filmed their experiences.

The overall rating? Very positive. The testers I saw love this product- including the example I've embedded to the right...

I also had a very positive experience with the product. The sheets were easy to use, made the laundry smell great and removed the static.

When I took the first sheet out of the box I was surprised at how thick it was- I thought 2 sheets were stuck together. After you drop the sheet into the washing machine- you do need to wash your hands to get rid of the sticky detergent residue. Perhaps if the product gains popularity, Purex will work on that.

I also visited the Purex website to learn more. Through 7/31/09, the company is running a Purex contest called “Simple Change, Extraordinary Impact Sweepstakes.” Basically, product users can write in about their experiences with the 3-in-1 sheets and get a chance to win $1,000 or a year's supply of Purex® Complete 3-in-1™ Laundry Sheets.
