My dog has done better on this stuff than any of the dog foods with a higher score. I usually try to give her foods without yeast in them but it's so hard to find. She's had a severe allergic reaction to something in her foods, and I think it could be yeast. My vet says otherwise. I was told that it wasn't possible. Anyway, my dog does very good on this food. But I am trying to find a food that won't slow her down; she's a collie mix, but she has been slowing down like she doesn't have anymore energy and her skin gets real dry and flakey. Any suggestions?

Mich,

Corn, wheat and soy cause the conditions you describe.

All the food she's eaten has that in it, but nothing had ever happened until I put brewer's yeast on her food. I was trying to find a new, inexpensive way to keep fleas off. What do you think of Organix? EVO? and Evanger's?

Mich,

A sick pet will draw fleas. A healthy pet usually has no problem with fleas. I used brewers yeast which I give to my pets to help with the flea issue.

Evo has a long history of pet food recalls and a class action filed against the company for fale advertising. Evo claims to produce healthy foods for pets.

Organix has the same recall history and Class Action. Their C&P's Organix Canine Adult Formula Dry Dog Food is a bag of over priced junk. You would do better to feed Ol' Roy.

Evanger's had a Consumer Alert issued against the company from the FDA as late as April of this year.
