Ask Susan Peters Purina Veterinary Diets DM Dietetic Management Feline Formula Dry Food Cat Food Review:
Purina Veterinary Diets DM Dietetic Management Feline Formula Dry Food Cat Food doesn't seem to have anything special in it. This is pretty much junk with a high price. Ol Roy, cheap stuff, scored much better than Purina Veterinary Diets DM Dietetic Management Feline Formula Dry Food Cat Food . If your vet is selling this stuff they are making a huge profit at your pet's expense!
Animal digest - manure.
Corn gluten meal is a cheap filler used by pet food companies to reduce production costs. Gluten is a super concentrated mix as is meal. So the corn is this batch is actually at least 5 times the amount listed.
We should probably take time out from this review to remind ourselves of the good and bad effects of corn in a cat or dog's diet. *Corn, wheat and soy are resonsible for fever, ear aches, ear infections, bad bread, dental disease, hair loss, dry and itchy skin, bloat, tumors, warts, moles, abnormal nail growth, arthritis, deafness, blindness, digestive problems, siezures, inflamed liver, inflamed kidneys, bladder problems, heart problems, and death. Oh yeah, for the good effects of corn - reduces the cost of pet food production.

Marcia,
It is always great news to hear a pet is doing well. Thanks for the insight.
Keep us advised,
Susan
Pity that instead of being on a moist, meaty food which an OBLIGATE CARNIVORE's tiny digestive system requires, the poor cat will only be back at the vets due to the inevitable Urinary Tract Infections, stones, crystals, bladder issues, etc. The stuff is too much on their Pancreas, which, whenover loaded, has to depend on the LIVER for overflow....
Cats should NOT be eating dry cereal! NATURE has designed this species to derive moisture from the wet meat they eat. Ever wonder why cats are known not to be water drinkers? If a cat is drinking water, the poor thing's system is DEHYDRATED! Don't take my word for it. Just look up this species in ANY ENCYCLOPEDIA!!!!

You can say what you want, but we were giving our poor kitty two shots of insulin a day until we put her on the DM. When we first took her to the vet, her sugar was so high, I was surprised she wasn't in a coma. After a while on the DM, and many visits to the vet to recheck her sugar, it is now under control and we are off the shots. She's happy and we're happy!!
