Right now pursuing career success is heavy on your mind.

You've found yourself looking up from your life, having a hard time recognizing that face in the mirror that's staring back at you.

You know it's you...but somehow you've gotten disconnected from who you once were.

It's like you've lost your vibrance, your noveau riche outlook on life and you're stuck living out this grayed and bleated condition.

Sometimes in the back of your mind, you wonder if you somehow just missed the mark....

In fact, you've started to wonder why it is that other people seem to know the secret to life...but yet you don't

Your mind wonders, "How is it that other people seem to live a vivacious fit, while your life seems somehow staid and plaid and just so darn trite."

• In the back of your mind you think, "Pursuing career success just shouldn't feel so hard."
• It's like you are scratching, clawing, and just trying to make it to your career goal...but it's just not turning out "right".

But here's the interesting twist on that feeling.

Based on career and educational standards, you're not a failure.

In fact, many people look at you from the outside and think that you really got it together.

• They look at you from the outside...and they just assume...
• They assume that you are this picture perfect model of success.
• It's like the sugary-polished scents of success seem to waft out of your pores.

You don't really know who you are anymore....

• And..you don't know what to do about it.

And THIS is the reality that's starting to suffocate you.

• It's suffocating your existence.
• It's suffocating your love for live.
• It's suffocating those dreams you once had for yourself.
• It's suffocating the life that you long to have for yourself.

And, truth be told, the whole pursuing career success thing has started to extinguish your passion for life.

Somehow the very act of pursuing career success has begun to smolder who you REALLY are...and it has left you with this ghosted and somehow gutted version of you.

• There's this half-you, half-wounded soul that just seems somehow trapped...
• Trapped in a life and a career that does little to sooth your soul.

This sense of suffocation...just...won't....go...away.

It's like you've been transfixed into a permanent scene of a movie that just won't end.

• You're the main character of a that scene we've watched a million and one times.
• You know the one where the person is trapped in a smoke filled room, struggling to breath, struggling to stay alive.

And in this scene in the movie, you can't do anything but drop to your knees.

• (Because THIS is the move they taught you in elementary school.)
• "When you're in a smoked-filled room," they said, "just drop to the floor on your knees because that's where the fresh air is."

And just like the character you play in the this movie scene...there are days In your real life when you know to do nothing else but to drop to your knees.

So go ahead...do what they do in the movies...drop to the floor...immediately.

• And seek out God for understanding.
• Pray to Him fervently, He understands.
• Pray that he surrounds you with a smoke-free atmosphere...one where you are free to Dream Outloud and talk through your plans.

It points to the fact that you need to re-find...you.

• It points to the fact that somewhere along your path to pursuing career success, you lost you.
• It points to the fact that somehere along your path to pursuing career success, you (the REAL you) got lost in the shuffle.
• And ultimately...it points to a burning and longing need to reconnect your path to purusing career success to you...the REAL you.
• Thus, you must somehow shift the design of your life and the pursuit of career success to meet your needs of needing to express you...the REAL you.

• And seek out God for understanding.
• Pray to Him fervently, He understands.
• Pray that he surrounds you with a smoke-free atmosphere...one where you are free to Dream Outloud and talk through your plans.

Pursuing career success requires that you move your life and career in a direction that aligns with who you are and who you are struggling to become.

And when you've lost you, the pursuit of career success will often make you feel like a failure because are pursuing career success in fields of work that leaves the REAL you longing for more.

So, what is it that I suggest that you do?

Give yourself the space and permission to re-acquaint yourself...with you.

• Pursuing career success requires that you stand up for yourself.
• Pursuing career success mandates that you ask that the REAL YOU please stand up, take the reigns and steer you on a path that more aligned with who you REALLY are and what it is that you REALLY want out of life.
• Pursuing career success requires that give your purpose a chance to be energized and fully utilized in your life or career.

Don't hide from your purpose.

It's there inside

Peeking through your soul.

Regardless where you are in your life,

You can let it go.
