Another Pyramid Head Paper Model

I had so much fun making my last hub with the Pyramid Head Paper Model that I decided to make another one. I found a paper model that was designed by Anubis Tomb. It's cool that people are creating paper models and then putting them online for free so that other people can make them. Many thanks to Anubis Tomb who have a lot of other paper models on their site.

Here are a couple of tips about how to make better paper models.

1) Use a tool to score folds before you cut out the pieces. It's hard to properly fold the pieces without scoring them, so you should definitely score them before you try to fold them. And the easiest time to score them is before you cut them out.

2) Use a combination of Exacto knife and scissors. I use an exacto knife on the straight lines, but prefer scissors for curvy lines. Very often I will do the straight lines first and then follow up with the scissors.

3) Use the exact right amount of glue. Plain old elmers is the best glue for doing most parts of paper models. If you learn how to get the right amount on, the paper will bond within seconds when you press the pieces together.

4) Check what the finished model is supposed to look like. Sometimes I can't figure out how to do the next step so it helps to look at pictures of the finished product.

5) Use a self-healing cutting board. This is the green cutting board in the pictures. It sort of heals up after you cut it, so you can use it over and over and over. it's also handy that it has lines on it that you can use sometimes when cutting.

Well I guess that's it. Here's to Silent Hill and more Pyramid Head models. Here's the Pyramid Head Horror Paper Model that originally inspired me.
