Quetta, Pakistan has many Afghan immigrants, as well as local inhabitants made up of Pashtuns, Sindhis,Baloch, Brahuis, Hazaras, Hindko, Mohajirs,Punjabis and Baloch.

The  bazaars are full of visitors from all over Pakistan in Quetta, during the summer months.  

The Hazaras, who are from Mariabad, Syedabad and other nearby areas,     immigrated from Afghanistan in the 1880s and 1890s because of  persecution by King Abdur Rahman Khan. 

Certainly one of the favourite locales for Hazara migrants, Quetta  is especially loved by those from Bamiyan province and its surrounding areas.

Quetta tribesmen are renowned for their hospitality and friendliness. Making those who come from afar as comfortable as possible, is an integral part of their  age-long traditions.

The tribes of Quetta  include Ghilzai, Kakar, Bazai, Sherani, Looni, Kansi   Achakzai. and Daavi Tareen

The central bazaar on Jinnah Road is a site as it is plentiful in turban-wearing  Pashtun traders who sit  in their shops with their distinct facial features, Baloch men with red embroidered caps, and full-skirted nomad girls carrying enormous  bundles of imported cloth sell at the bazaar.
