The Atkins diet is one of the most popular quick weight loss diets. The basic premise of the Atkins diet is that it sets a very low carbohydrate level. For it to work a person is expected to consume fewer than 20 grams of carbohydrates per day. This diet is favored by many Diabetics as carbohydrates contribute significantly to higher blood sugar levels.
The cabbage soup diet is comprised of, well, cabbage soup! The cabbage soup recipe can be made in a large pot and eaten any time the person is hungry, as often and as much as they like. The grapefruit diet is another popular quick weight loss diet. This diet combines a low carbohydrate diet with the consumption of grapefruit and grapefruit juice. Like the Atkins diet, this diet allows, and even encourages a person to eat a lot of meat, vegetables and eggs.
The Metabolism diet, like the grapefruit and Atkins diets is a strict diet in which the dieter can consume eggs, cheese, meat, salad and vegetables but few to no carbohydrates.
Most of the quick weight loss diets advocate large amounts of protein and few carbohydrates. Some of the diet tips for losing weight rapidly are to always drink at least 8 glasses of water daily which helps flush the system, and keeps a person hydrated and feeling fuller, to break meals into several smaller meals rather than three larger meals a day, to decrease fat intake along with increasing fiber intake as well as increasing fruit and vegetable intake, to get at least a half an hour of exercise every day and to avoid late night snacking. Other tips that can help aid a quick weight loss diet are to find a hobby with which one can occupy their time and decrease boredom eating.
The best plan following a quick weight loss diet is to continue to eat a healthy diet, drink lots of water and get exercise to cultivate a healthy lifestyle that will continue to allow the dieter to reap the benefits of the quick weight loss diet that started them on the road to dieting success.
