Daily people decide to quit smoking but are not successful. If you're one the problem is could be that you're not addressing the smoking problem from the best viewpoint. There are really three different aspects to quitting smoking. First, there's the physical addiction of nicotine. Nicotine is quite addictive, but there are many good ways to fight on this front. They include nicotine patches, gums, and sprays. The theory behind these alternatives is that you replace the nicotine in cigarettes and gradually cut down the amount of nicotine that you consume. This is a good alternative because the nicotine substitutes do allow you to stop ingesting the hundreds of harmful chemicals in cigarettes. So, even if it takes you a long time to reduce your nicotine intake you are actually living a more healthy lifestyle. Be careful to consult with a physician if you are a woman who is either pregnant or breast feeding. Niacinamide is also helpful because it has chemical similarities to nicotine. It can be useful as an add-on to nicotine substitutes or after discontinuing the use of the substitutes. Niacinamide is commonly known as vitamin B3. Go to a certified nutritionist to determine the proper dose to take.

Many people don't quit even when they use the nicotine substitutes. That's because there are also psychological and habitual components to smoking. It's the reinforcement that people get by lighting up a cigarette after a meal or other activity. It's the "this is a good thing" feeling that's so hard to overcome because this struggle is in the subconscious mind.

One of the subconscious feelings smokers experience is calmness. Nicotine substitutes do not duplicate this calmness. But there is another excellent alternative. The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) has developed a five auricular point acupuncture protocol that is amazingly effective for all forms of addiction from nicotine to heroin. The five points are derived from classical acupuncture theory to treat addictions. They stimulate the lungs, liver, and heart and calm the spirit. This is one of the most effective treatments in acupuncture and a skilled NADA technician can insert the needles painlessly. Then you just sit and relax for about 20 minutes. For more information contact NADA at 360-245-0186.

The best success with the NADA protocol happens when there are also ongoing programs that deal with the sub-conscious mind. Typically, this involves some sort of counseling, but there is an interesting and effective alternative.

In 1913 Charles F. Haanel created The Master Key System. It introduced the Law of Attraction and has been at the heart of many self-help systems including the movie "The Secret". It's a 24 week course that teaches you how to use the conscious mind to program and direct the sub-conscious mind in order to achieve the things you really want. Most people who finish the course regard it as having made a significant positive change in their lives. It can be extremely effective for people who are determined to stop smoking and will stay the course for the full 24 weeks. Don't purchase or get free versions of this course that give you the whole course in one big lump. Charles Haanel understood that the effective way to work with the subconscious was to do one lesson per week... and it was important to pay something for each lesson. That motivated people to stick with it and value their learning.

In the smoker’s battle there are some tools that attempt to deal with the subconscious like hypnosis and audio CDs. Sometimes they work, but often they don’t. What could be better than a tool that teaches you to effectively direct your subconscious mind? That is The Master Key System. The key is that you must do the course. It will not help by sitting on the shelf of in the computer.

By combining nicotine substitutes, niacinamide, NADA, and The Master Key System you have what you need to fight the physical, psychological, and habitual additions of smoking and change your life forever.
