Quotes ~ Expressions Of Gratitude Part 3

There is a knowing and understanding that how we begin our day has a great effect on how our day will continue to unravel, so to say. Say we were to wake up late, rushing around to catch up and get on with things...get the children off to school, get to work on time etc. Say, maybe your dog runs away and throws your whole schedule off. OK, all the above has happened to me plenty and I can clearly recall how those days spiraled into further inconvenience and situations mounting. You know, the coffee pot gets clogged with grounds and overflows all over, children needing more assistance (gravitating off your energy), losing your keys, maybe forgetting your keys in the house (after locking the door behind you to leave). Whoa, more delays. I think you get my point! :)
Well, it took me some time and discipline with myself to incorporate a better routine of thought which helped me greatly. As my friend Michelle Laub assists through her guidance of Life Coaching and Gratitude through her phone conferences. Creating a schedule to set some time at the beginning of you day to stop and take note of all the great relationships and things in our lives has a great affect upon us and how our days will unfold. I also like to set an intention for the day and what I would like to accomplish. The ability to see and feel what we would like to achieve is very powerful and helps us in baby-steps for broader outcomes as well. Some helpful tips would be to have some mantra or thoughts of something happy to think about should you feel blindsided with a situation and also either a meditation cd or calming and enlightening in your vehicle as well. Below is an example of a meditation of gratitude with Deepok Chopra. I hope you enjoy.
Namaste... :)

It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend... when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present -- love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure -- the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth. ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
