Some wonderful quotes here. I forget sometimes how important daily reminders are for children and parents. Sometimes the repetition of reminder is the best teacher.

What a great collection of quotes about fathers. I am blessed with a father like Al Unser Jnr! I am working on those bits I haven't managed to learn from him yet - fortunately for me there is still time. Great topic.

I agree a bit with jacobworld, a "touchy" subject....seems so many fathers don't fulfill the wonderful and optimistic quotes you've selected here. How I wish all fathers related to, behaved as, these emotional sentiments!

My father gave me a great example as to how not to be a father. I cherish everyday that I get to spend watching my daughter grow. I take pride in her success' and in her failures. I am touched deeply by your hub and hope that many others take the time to read it.

Thanks Maddie.

My father never earned his title. For that I have learned how important it is to have a good father, and of how much I missed out on. I am not a father, nor will I ever be.
