RELIGION IS MOST DANGEROUS ENEMY
65Perhaps you say I do not have any religion. I do not participate of any church, synagogue or other religious institutions existing in the world. You may say “I am unbeliever.”
In reality it is not so.
You believe in something, whether or not you call it religion. Atheism is also a religion. Even when you tell Atheists this truth they have a fit.
Belief and faith is part of our lives. We were born with it. The reasoning is zero at the birth, still there is trust and faith that a born baby knows his or her needs will be met. Only baby can express their needs with crying.
The definition of religion is simple: it is the opinion of man about God. If you do not believe there is a God then that is your religion. The second part of the definition is that religion is an opinion about moral values.
God is not religious nor is He the author of it. The author of religion is our enemy. The opinion is twisting the truth. Oh, no, Serpent said: “you will be like God and you will have all wisdom.” I am quoting now Serpent who was Satan in the Garden. Aha, we will have knowledge, like God has. Actually after that episode the IQ of Adam started gradually deteriorating and declining.
Everything what is not the WORD of GOD could be a religion. There is truth in the Word of God and anyone can find it. With spending time in Word also faith is gained, important ingredient for operation in the kingdom of God and the victory.
If one puts in first place anything before God this is idolatry and sin. You worship your opinion and your own god. All religious people paint their own image of God in their own mind. Many do idolatry of images and worship them directly or not and are the part of the second commandment. It was removed by many Christians and is disqualified. Read this:
Exodus 20:4-5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5, thou shalt not bow down thyselfto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation...
No wonder why many get in trouble and perhaps get badly sick without explanation and they blame God for it. Everything has consequences. Any sin gets back to people unless they are returned (repent) and stop sinning. Any sin. This includes unbelief.
It shook me up when I discovered that the only unpardonable sin is the sin of unbelief. It is mortal and sin which got us into the trouble we are in, in the first place, at the beginning. Serpent is tireless working 24/7, to steal our faith, even though he cannot take away our salvation he is stealing our blessings.
Opposite of blessing is: poverty, sickness and death and all, which is attached to it (see Deuteronomy 28). The solution and the exit is in Galatians 3:13:
Messiah hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.
Remember, the thief, steals, kills and destroys… (John 10:10). The faith is the first target of stealing.
Some ask me: You are religious. I must correct them and say: I am a biblical believer.

Nice meeting you friend.
Thanks for comment.
Well said my dear friend Vladimir, that is quality hub as always my friend. Thanks:) God Bless you my brother.
keira, thanks and appreciate comment much.
Man created Religion not God, God created us to have a personal relationship with Him.
Paul Young in the book "The Shack" writes clearly on this subject. Another is a writer named Jack Coleson who wrote both books that place the focus back on Christ "So You Don't Want To Go To Church Anymore" and "He Love Me". All excellent reads and I would recommend them to anyone.
Well written Hub my friend...well written.
Many Blessings
Thank you my brother.
I choose to view my Christianity as having a relationship with Jesus having a religion. Great hub!
Cari Jean, I am so glad you visit hub and for comment.
Just wanted to correct my comment - what I meant to say was having a relationship with Jesus, NOT having a religion. Thanks!
Yes I got it first.
Thanks very much.
