RUIN: Money and Martial Law
Pity the poor camel
First, it should be noted that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson basically threatened Congress with the specter of martial law in order to get the first bailout bill, TARP, pushed through without any meaningful discussion or debate.

George W. Bush began paving the way to the North American Union Police State very early in his administration with the rigging of his election in 2000.
The false flag attack on September 11, 2001 provided the perfect pretext for the implementation of the Homeland Security Act and flushing the Constitution down the crapper just for starters.
In May of 2007, dubya issued the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive.
NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51
HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20
National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive
This vaguely worded document makes the declaration of martial law by a sitting president a mere matter of convenience. I had fully expected Bush to take advantage of it. I was wrong.
It is however still in place and things haven’t gotten any better since the chimp took his leave, in case you hadn’t noticed. In fact, they’ve gotten markedly worse and are showing no signs of improving any time soon.
The financial situation that currently exists, which is the inevitable result of the criminally usurious system of capitalism, could easily produce conditions that might prompt Obama to use the powers that Mr. Bush so graciously provided.
Because Bush was not impeached, all the attributes of the “Unitary Executive” that were established during his reign are given legitimacy and are therefore available to any successive president that chooses to use them.
The phrase “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic” has become a part of the vernacular lately, which isn’t really surprising since it’s quite apt. President Obama has predictably adopted this practice and has apparently convinced a lot of people that, because he’s the one doing it now, it’s actually to be described as “change”. In all fairness, there has technically been some change.
The national debt has been increased by several TRILLION dollars and a few players have been moved around on the game board. Other than that, it’s the usual push by the usual suspects for business as usual.
Nightmare on Main Street
We have witnessed, in the last few years, some of the most breathtakingly blatant manipulation, fraud, corruption and outright thievery in the known history of the world. Hard working people have been deprived of their life savings, their jobs and any opportunity to have any savings or any hope for a future that could be remotely considered the “American Dream” or any dream short of a horrific nightmare of grotesquely huge proportions.
As wealthy and landed as they were, the “founders” were aware and warned us of what would happen if private banks were ever given control of the American “economy”. They knew that if the concentration of private wealth became too great the people of America would find themselves in the same situation that brought about the revolution that created their country in the first place.
If the American people ever allow banks to issue their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations which will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
--Thomas Jefferson
History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance. The nation which reposes on the pillow of political confidence will sooner or later end its political existence in deadly lethargy.
It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens, and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The free men of America did not wait until usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle.
--President James Madison
"If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
--Samuel Adams
The Bank of the United States is one of the most deadly hostilities existing against the principles and form of our Constitution. The system of banking is a blot left in all our Constitutions, which if not covered will end in their destruction. I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity is but swindling futurity.
--Thomas Jefferson
When the young nation was torn by civil war, the specter of usury was still very much a concern.
"The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace, and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies, all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes.
I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe. Corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow. The money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed."
"The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity."
--Abraham Lincoln
Even after the formation of the Federal Reserve, there were yet members of Congress that spoke for the people.
Every effort has been made by the Federal Reserve Board to conceal its power. But the truth is, the Federal Reserve Board has usurped the government of the United States.
It controls everything here; and it controls our foreign relations. It makes or breaks governments at will. No man, and no body of men, is more entrenched in power than the arrogant credit monopoly which operates the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks.
These evil-doers have robbed this country of more than enough money to pay the national debt. What the National Government has permitted the Federal Reserve Board to steal from the people should now be restored to the people. The people have a valid claim against the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks. If that claim is enforced, Americans will not need to stand in bread lines. Homes will be saved. Families will be kept.
The Federal Reserve Act should be repealed; and the Federal Reserve Banks — having violated their charters — should be liquidated immediately. Faithless government officers who have violated their oaths of office should be impeached and brought to trial.
Unless this is done by us, I predict the American people — outraged, robbed, pillaged, insulted, and betrayed as they are in their own land — will rise in their wrath and send a President here who will sweep the money changers from the temple.
--CONGRESSMAN LOUIS T. MCFADDEN
Unrest in the Homeland
Now, herein lays the possibility for great tragedy today, “…outraged, robbed, pillaged, insulted, and betrayed as they are in their own land…”
We have had a “solution” to this crisis forced upon us by the very people who knowingly caused it, which can only turn it into a full-blown catastrophe.
The “recovery” being foisted upon us by the new administration will only worsen the oppression that we have seen growing exponentially over the last eight years. The resultant continued widening of the gap between the rich and the poor, whose numbers are increasing hourly, together with the impending fiscal collapse which will lead to the termination of the few inadequately funded social programs remaining, could easily lead to “civil unrest” at a level that could just as easily lead to the imposition of martial law.
Since the alleged solution is just another gift from a subservient “government” to those who brought us to this impasse, it will do nothing to improve conditions for millions of Americans who are slipping deeper into poverty daily. This impoverishment is no longer reserved for the common laborer. Those at the very top are committed to putting as much distance as possible between themselves and everyone else. A white collar is no longer a security pass. Anyone who actually “works” is marked.
Things can only get much worse. How then will our new “leader” cope?
Our beloved departing Fuehrer left many tools for his successor in the form of “anti-terrorist” legislation and presidential directives that can be used for subduing an unruly peasantry, such as the gems noted above. Even as recently as January of 2009, new legislation has been proposed with nary a word to the public. This bill would add to the already established FEMA “emergency centers”, which are actually nothing less than internment camps for use in the event of widespread civil uprisings.

In 2006, KBR was awarded contracts to build detention facilities under the auspices of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security. The difference between these newer facilities and the ones KBR has been contracted to build is that they will be located on existing military bases and will be modeled on the facility at Guantanamo. This would include the likelihood that any citizen imprisoned in such a facility would have no access to the legal system in any way.
There can be little doubt that these actions are in direct response to the rapidly deteriorating conditions within the U.S.
Even Ron Paul is raising dust about it:
"...the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough... Even though we know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt-based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment…(emphasis added)
Posse Comitatus is as good as dead as we move deeper into a police state. Combat troops have already been withdrawn from Iraq and assigned to Homeland Security. This was done just prior to the ending of the Bush administration. They are being trained specifically in dealing with civil unrest.
Internal national security is becoming a union of civilian and military components:
Army combat units will work with civilian law enforcement to curb "social unrest".
New internment camps will be established, under civilian jurisdiction, located on US military facilities.
The FEMA internment camps are part of Continuity of Government (COG), to be put in place in the event martial law is imposed.
The internment camps are for the protection of the government against its citizens. Protesters will be incarcerated as well as political activists. No one will be allowed to challenge the Administration's national security, economic or military agenda.
The following criteria have been established by Homeland Security for identifying conspirators that could present a threat to the Homeland. It comes from a report released in 2004 by the Homeland Security Council titled Planning Scenarios.
1) Foreign terrorists
2) Domestic radical groups (anti war and civil rights protestors)
3) State sponsored adversaries
4) This is my favorite: “disgruntled employees” (labor and union activists)
(emphasis added)

The Gifts That Keep On Taking
Another gift Mr. Bush bequeathed upon his successor is National Security Presidential Directive (NSPD 59- HSPD 24) entitled Biometrics for Identification and Screening to Enhance National Security
http://www.fas.org/irp/offdocs/nspd/nspd-59.html
This little gem, once again using the trumped up “war on terrorism” enabled by the 911 false flag attack, basically allows DHS to collect, in secret, highly detailed dossiers on anyone deemed of interest.
"The contextual data that accompanies biometric data includes information on date and place of birth, citizenship, current address and address history, current employment and employment history, current phone numbers and phone number history, use of government services and tax filings. Other contextual data may include bank account and credit card histories, plus criminal database records on a local, state and federal level. The database also could include legal judgments or other public records documenting involvement in legal disputes, child custody records and marriage or divorce records."

While Barak Obama smiles and encourages the people of America to pitch in and help him save the country, he continues to abet the continuing assured destruction of it.
Although John McCain would have been even worse and though there was no chance whatever for a third party candidate, I sincerely regret having voted for Barak Obama.
Snake oil has a very bitter taste.

Keep on Hubbing!
Good read to keep our eyes open and are brains ticking. I get the feeling I've been hit in the head, serious internal damages have occurred and if I fall asleep, I might not wake up.
Horatio,
"Even as recently as January of 2009, new legislation has been proposed with nary a word to the public."
This shit isn't going away, it's just becoming background noise. Most people have been trained to ignore it. If you shove it in their face they attack you for interrupting their sleep, instead of going after the aggressor that has engineered their demise.
The stuff about the banks is OK up to a point, the point being that said banks should never have been privatized. No private banks printing and controlling the currency and no interest allowed.
The system we have is one of usury and restoring it, if that were even possible, is not an acceptable course of action.
As long as there are people Horatio, we will never lack for dragons. Evil is a uniquely human creation. It's a required side order with every serving of god.
Thanks for that link eovery. The article ties right in with what I’ve posted here.
It’s interesting to note the term “fusion center” in the article. It’s right out of the quote from Ron Paul.
I wonder how long it will take before we start seeing “check points” all over the country where we will be required to produce our “papers”.
Oh, you'll wake up goldentoad. You just might wish you hadn't.
Your one of the few who are awake anyway. You have to be awake to keep the dream alive.
I believe everything will be ok. Obama is human so he'll make one or two mistakes but at least he's trying to create positive change. I imagine the political atmosphere in Washington makes it almost impossible to keep his promises. If I were him I'd use my executive power to get some things past without the approval of congress since they're not being cooperative. Somehow, I hope the numbers change in favor of the democrats for the good of our and the world's economy as well as our national security. I'd love to see a third party rise.
You're entitled to you optimism Writer Rider. I'm afraid I can't share it.
I fail to see what "change" is being attempted.
Restoring a corrupt, criminal and usurious system isn't my idea of positive change.
It's tantamount to keeping a terminal patient legally alive, in a vegetative state, on life support, so the doctors and hospital can keep charging for their services.
I am all for it. If the public pushes hard for it we may get it... slowly in 10 to 50 years after you slowly ween the public off of credit cards.
Horatio,
If it doesn't happen within 10, amerika won't be around in 50.
Well done, ColdWar! Very intriguing. And its disgusting how our Fed is utilizing its powers we shouldn't have gave them.
But always remember--there's only one party in the American government today. And thats the RNC/DNC.
Sincerely,
G|M
The "government" has been privatized G|M. This is a corporatocracy. It's nothing but a facade.
Thanks for the read and the feedback.
CWB--Yay, nice to see I'm not the only one to realize this. ;)
Now get your number, take a suit, sing the mantra, and live in corporate fuedalism like a good American. ;)
Sincerely,
G|M
More people were beginning to become aware G|M. That's why Obama was selected. The neocons overplayed their hand and the elite are not interested in coping with a revolution at this time. Obama is the oil cast on troubled waters. His task is to lull the masses back into quiescence long enough to allow the economic terrorism currently being applied to do its work.
If you haven't yet, please read Shock Doctrine by Naomi Kline. I have a PDF version I can email to you if you like.
CWB--Would be glad to see it!
Alternatively, are you aware of Alex Jones? Whats your take on him?

InfoWars and Prison Planet. I do visit these sites occasionally. They're not at the top of my list but they are a source I use some times. Because I don't go there that often, I haven't formed an opinion one way or the other. Let's just say I think he and I are pretty much on the same side.
I have so many bookmarks on my home page that I just tend to forget about some that I don't use every day.
I'll send you the PDF as an attachment in an email.

I've got a close eye on the system and have ever since my birth state became the epicenter of Bush's power play in 2000. Some unpleasant shit is still occurring I will grant but the stink is less then it was.I would like them to stop using the states secrets argument when asked to present themselves in court and I would rather we prosecute the Bush administration before the Hague does.
Unfortunately our economy is in the shit hole. I am rather happy that President Obama's plan to deal with that is to create demand and jobs through Government spending rather then putting us under martial law. As for those directives that scared the bejeebus outta me when they were signed; them and all the other Bush era directives are under review by the AG. I am confident that their tenure as law coming to an end and if not no one's voice will cry louder then mine. As to the increased federal debt it is an unfortunate but unavoidable symptom of this downturn. As the private sector is currently unable to generate the demand necessary to stop the downturn from spiraling it is necessary for Governments to spend in order to save us from this shit storm.
Do I agree with the banks getting a big slice of corporate welfare? Fuck no! Dice the mega banks into itty bitty pieces consolidate their bad debts into a single firm then let the FDIC sail those sick puppies through bankruptcy procedure. While we are at it do it to all the giant corps. But if I got everything I wanted for my birthday, what would ask Santa for. If there were no corporate dragons, who would I tilt against.
