RV Seat Belt Laws
65Seatbelt or No Seatbelt?
Driving an RV is more like moving a home around rather than a car or truck. There is lots of space, and there is a lot of room for movement in the back of the RV. With that in mind many people wonder what the RV seatbelt laws are, and if they are required to always wear a seatbelt just like general motorists?
What you will come to find is that each state operates differently. If you are the driver or sitting in the front seat almost every state requires that you wear your seatbelt in the United States. However if you are in the back of the RV there are different laws which you will need to investigate for the state or states you will be traveling through.
One of the only factors that will come into play for not wearing a seatbelt is if there is some sort of medical condition or disability that would not allow a person to do so. other reasons for not needing a seatbelt in various cases depending on the state include things such as delivery, the weight of a vehicle, and vehicles which make frequent stops.

Great info! - this can be a bit of a "gray zone" in some areas.
One suggestion is that whenever you're in a state, province, or country where you're not familiar with the laws, it's best to use as much precaution as possible.
It's usually not worth having to make the trip back to have to argue a ticket in court, let alone the physical dangers of not using a seatbelt!
